Chestnut Welsh Cob Section D in Swansea

Sadly I am selling my Chestnut Welsh Section D Gelding 14,3hh due to change in circumstances I want him to go to a good experienced loving home only. He was used before i owned him as a hunting and jumping cob, I have owned him for 4 years and the last year and a half he has not been ridden. So he will need some reschooling and someone experienced. He comes to call and likes lots of fuss, he is good in hand and has no known vices and is in good health. He is passported, chipped and wormed to date, his shire is Broughton Diplomat and Dam Broughton Magical Comet. I have for sale my 11year old typical chestnut mare. She will hack alone or in company. She is forward going. Currently ridden by an adult. Rode by a novice teen in the menage. She is excellent to clip and shoe. Treats are needed during summer months to catch. She loves schooling work and has potential for dressage but she is wasted by me as I just want to hack. Used to heavy traffic, lorries, motorbikes etc but can spook at tiny things. She doesnt rear or buck. She is up to date with vaccs, teeth. She is a typical chestnut mare and she can kick out at other horses whilst ridden or tied up(mainly when tied up). You need to be experienced with these types of mares or she will take advantage. I generally believe and have been told she has dressage potential and I also think with the right owner she could become a lovely all-rounder. Bought as a lead rein pony but is forward going with good paces and loads of presence so I feel he is wasted being ridden by my nervous son. Lovely pony to have around, enjoys being groomed and handled easily by my 8 year old son. Chestnut Welsh Section B

Pillheath Santana (aka Bruno for short) is a 4 year old Welsh pony Section B Gelding standing 13hh and registered. He is the first to come out of the field, very friendly and inquisitive. He is turned out year round and has a good winter coat. He will come with his rain and cold weather turnout rug but will need a new thick winter turnout rug. He is happy when the farrier visits him and loves a good brush. Bruno respects fences and is not skittish of cars, but doesnt like little yapping dogs to much. He has a friendly personality, is very affectionate and likes shiny things, if you have a shiny zip on your jacket he will grab it with his lips and give it a pull. He is a little cheeky too and will play with you in the field if you want to chase him or you have apples he will give you nudges, he has a big endearing personality. Bruno was bought as a project for my wife so that she could train him further and advance her skills, however after having him a week, we found out we were expecting and have been trying to juggle having the horses, but we have had to be realistic and feel they deserve a home where they can get some more attention. Bruno is excellent on a lead rein, he will match your pace as you walk. Even if you get him up to a trot he will match the speed you can do. This pony is quick and can turn on a sixpence, she has an enormous jump and is not phased by fillers or coloured poles etc. A very pretty little mare with a great presence about her and very keen to please. I bought this lovely mare for myself to have some fun on and go show jumping but feel that she would be better suited to a confident rider who would like to take her on the show circuit, something that i just don't have time to do and i really need to concentrate of my competition mare. She has 3 amazing paces, is soft in the mouth, loves jumping, is good to load, with the farrier but can sometimes be stubborn to catch in the field. She normally gives in after a few minutes. 11hh welsh section A pony club lead rein pony

Our beloved pony Barney is sadly up for sale after 7 great years. All my children have ridden him from being toddlers and he has been their first pony so this is such a sad sale. He enjoys being worked and will whinny when he sees you bringing tack so it's unfair on him to be left without a job. I am advertising him as a lead rein pony as this is what he prefers in a schooling situation as he can be nappy without his leader in the arena and he much prefers having mum or dad to walk beside or even run in front. He will hack out perfectly off the lead and goes off your voice. He has been ridden around hopton x country off the lead and on the farnley ride and Escrick park. He will jump small jumps and has got a good jump but it's not something he enjoys. He is just ridden now and then at the moment but he is exactly the same ride how ever long he is left. Barney has been involved with all pony club activities including mounted games, mini camp, mini cross country, lessons and jumping with my daughter from being age 5. He has competed on the mini mounted games for 2 seasons on the lead and did wetherby weekend this year off the lead in the junior team and did great. Totally unfazed with a busy environment and does not get silly or excitable, he's very happy to stand on the line and just wait his turn and knows the equipment. When at shows he just stands patiently and nods off. He will ride and lead and is responsive to voice commands which is great for teaching little ones to canter on the lead. A shout of whoa quickly brings him back to walk! We've stayed away at shows and he is happy to be corralled in an pen and will not stress if left on his own, he just enjoys being out and having a job to do. He can be a bit grumpy to handle and will pull the odd face. He will live out with a shelter or come in at night and he is happy with both. He is very clean in the stable and will poo in a bucket at the back! He can be left for weeks and then ridden and he is exactly the same, just steady away.
