Welsh sec C gelding, 14hh, 6 years old

Gladiator is a clever and attractive pony who could do any job. He has been in work for approx. 18 months, in which time he has proved himself to be safe, bold, quick to learn and useful. He loves to jump and is a safe hack, and has been ridden by all members of the family from 6 years old up to adults. He would be a quiet lead-rein pony for an older child, but is talented enough to be so much more. He has been to pony club camp and shown himself to have excellent flatwork and jumping. He has played polo, swum in the river with a rider on board, and is bold at everything he has been asked to do. He has hunted both with a child on and off the lead rein, and with a light adult. He has even carried a sidesaddle with both adult and child riders, and was totally unbothered. Although he is overheight to show as a section C, he would make a lovely working hunter pony (up to 14hh). his flatwork is good enough for pure dressage, and he never refuses a jump, safely carrying an adult rider over some huge ditches when hunting. He would make a perfect pony club pony, or could be a mother-daughter share as he can carry an adult weight easily. He is good to clip, load and handle. He doesn't buck, rear or bolt. Welsh section A show pony for sale through no fault of his own. Sadly his rider has outgrown him and is moving to a bigger pony. Fantastic pony for lead rein with for a less confident rider or 2nd pony for confident rider who can ride. He is a sweet, cheeky, lovable character who loves people and being with them. He lives in or out and is fine with mares or geldings. He has good stable manners and you can move around him in and out of the stable and loves attention although he can sometimes like to have a cheeky nibble. He has never kicked or shown any nasty behaviour and he is eager and willing to learn. He is still green/young in his education which is why he is good for lead rein or a 2nd pony. He is just starting work again this year. He attended numerous shows last year and won every class he entered, he behaved impeccably at the shows and totally took care of his rider, he stood perfectly and made the days very enjoyable. He is vaccinated for flu and tetanus up to date and not due booster until . He stands to have feet done without any issues and is great with the vet. A stunning pony by Heaton Romeo who has been shown in hand and as a lead rein. He has taught my 3 children to ride on lead rein and then off lead rein out hacking, but he is not a first ridden pony in the school or at events as can get strong, excited and pop in a buck. He would suit a confident older child or small adult as the rider needs to get him going forward and work him properly. He has been schooled for showing and can canter on command but with us he has been primarily used to hack. An absolute darling to handle at home, good to loads, good with vet and farrier, has no health issues. All vaccinations and teeth up to date (April ) and only has front shoes (goes bare foot in the winter when we do less road work). Lives out most of the winter (until our ground can’t cope) and then in at night/ out by day (rugged part of the winter). Welsh Sec B Gelding 12.5h

Leafy is a handsome and healthy 14 year old Welsh Sec B, 12.5h Gelding, who currently lives rugged, outside in paddocks with another Gelding. Leafy is barefoot. We bought Leafy recently from a local riding school, for our young daughter to ride. He is a rather nervous pony, and is sometimes head shy when you go to stroke him, though he always comes to greet you. Unfortunately this nervousness makes him a little too unpredictable for a small child to handle him safely, so he is not a 100% fit for us. He can also be a bit unpredictable around food, as he is quite adamant that all food is his! During grazing he has bucked at us on our approach. Again, not really suitable for a little girl. He can be really sweet, and we think he would make someone older and more confident, a great pony. He has a lovely walk and trot under saddle. HIs canter is lovely too, though we have only cantered him on the ground (due to inexperience). He just needs more time spent with him to grow in his confidence. He saddles and bridles without a hitch and is responsive to verbal commands on the ground and under saddle. He has gently bucked a couple of times under saddle, which probably needs some work. He picks up his feet and grooms no problem. Leafy comes with saddle and bridle and a lightweight turnout rug. Leafy is looking for a new home! Could you help? Picks up all feet no problem, great for farrier, easy to groom and tack up. Just needs a rider the right size (we are all too big). Comes with saddle and bridle and lightweight turnout rug. He lives outside just fine, with a rug when it is zero or below. Likes company so should be kept with others. Good doer, comes to call, friendly little guy. Reason for sale is because we have a very young daughter and he is not 100% to be handled by such a young child. It's nothing an older child couldn't deal with, but she is too little. He can get a little bargy around food and if he wants all the cuddles. He has done a little bunny hop under saddle once, but other than that, this is a great little pony for someone to have lots of fun with. He is not spooky or nervous at all and is easy to ride, lunge etc. He has been in only light work for the last two months, as has no suitable rider to be doing any hard work with.
