This is because it isn’t actually front mounted, but is centre mounted. Front mounted seats put ad seats put all the child’s weight on the handlebars which means steering is more difficult, your child gets thrown around, and most importantly, are unsafe in our opinion if you need to stop quickly. WeeRide Safefront centre-mounted childs bike seat This very popular and award winning childs bike seat is recommended for ages 1-4 years. The unique mounting position on the centre of your bike provides perfect balance and reassurance for both you and your child when compared to rear or front mounted alternatives as you can see each other without either needing to turn around. It also has the advantage of you being able to lift your child into the seat once you have mounted the bike yourself. The adjustable mounting bracket fits all the common adult bike frames (both mens and womens) with a distance of between 49cm and 60cm from seat post to head post (as most will be) and takes a couple of minutes to fit.
