Bertie is our gorgeous mother daughter share cob gelding who we have owned for 2 years. He is currently in work 4-5 days per week schooling, hacking and natural horsemanship games/sessions however my daughter is not doing as much as hoped and I'm finding it difficult to keep up the work I think Bertie needs to bring him on. Bertie is kept at Southview yard just outside Wellingborough. It has miles of off road hacking including a nice long strip to gallop up, and a flood lit ménage. There are lots of people to hack with and the potential to join the yard parelli group. I am looking for someone who wants to work with Bertie at least 2 days per week, who is no more than 11.5 stone in weight, and who is happy to ride in a treeless saddle. You will also need rider insurance please, which I will check. Payment to made monthly in advance. We can agree set days or I can be totally flexible depending on what you want to do. Bertie can occasionally spook when out hacking, particularly if alone, although he tends to jump to the side or forward and comes back to listen pretty quickly. However, he can nap if you try a route he's not so familiar with and therefore needs firm direction from his rider. When schooling he will try to get away with minimum effort as he's pretty laid back and chilled out. However, he can move beautifully and be relaxed and forward if you are firm but sensitive with him. I wouldn't say he's a born jumper so if jumping is your thing you will need to work at it to develop him with this. He's had both my kids and my kids' novice friends on him and I am happy to have my 11 year old daughter hack him out around the open fields with me walking/running beside. Boo is a 14hh pony who been there and done it she is a champion at showing she loves her jumping and brilliant at dressage. I'm looking for someone to help me a few days a week to ride her, we are on a really nice yard with two out door arenas one is jumping arena and an Indoor arena for use with jumps. Looking for someone who would like to ride on weekends in exchange for helping out with some stable duties. Lovely, small (but wide) cob who enjoys hacking out and is a real confidence giver. With the evenings getting darker I will struggle to ride both of my equines on weekends and it would be great to have some company to ride out with. We have quiet country lanes and a country park nearby with nice bridlepaths. I am looking for someone who would help with costs and is willing to help exercise her for me. She is very good in the school, although she can be a little cheeky at times so will need a bossy rider! She's not a nasty horse, she's very good natured and to be honest I don't think you could get a more loving pony. She follows me around the school after she's been exercised and whinnys everytime I come to the yard. Would be looking for a rider that is at least an experienced novice, no beginners please. She is perfect in the stable, she absolutely adores being scratched and groomed. 14.3hh 14 year old Irish Cob looking for sharer 2-3 days a week. Based between East and West Leake. Currently has 2 sharers but one has just bought her own horse. Charlie loves to hack and will hack alone or in company (there are others on the yard who will be able to join you if you want). Will go first or last. You will have access the outdoor school (has floodlights for winter/evening riding). Doesn't love schooling but he knows some lateral movements etc. Definitely not a competition horse but he has been out and done unaffiliated dressage and showing (there will be opportunities to do this if you wish). Enjoys popping the odd cross pole or small upright. Charlie is a real confidence giver out hacking, fab with all types of traffic. Has had total novices on him, but really needs someone a bit more experienced (at least an advanced novice rider comfortable in all 3 paces) as he can be very forward out hacking and he is strong in canter. We regularly have an excellent instructor come to the yard if you want a few lessons on him. Must be flexible on days each week as current sharer changes her days each week depending on work. Will need to fit around this and liase with sharer (she is reasonable and will try to accommodate you as much as possible). Would suit student or someone with time free in the week. His owner also owns the yard he is on, so no yard duties required as he is essentially on full livery. £20 per week towards shoes etc. Odd job such as cleaning his tack required.
