Hi, I am currently looking for a sharer for a 16'2 gelding for 6 months minimum due to having an accident which was non horse related and not being able to ride much until I've made a full recovery. Must be a confident rider and able to fit in with the routine of turning out in the morning or bringing in in the evening 3 times a week+ (until he lives out in summer) with a contribution to his keep. He is a 12 year old, bay gelding and stabled in Thurleigh. We have excellent hacking facilities and we do not ever have to go on a road if you don't want to although he's very good in traffic. Billy is a gentle giant, has competed dressage up to elementary and will jump (although hasn’t done a huge amount for several years). Very safe sensible but fun hack. If you are a strong confident rider he will perform, if not he will look after you. He is 20 years old but still has plenty of miles left in him. I'm am looking for a sharer for my boy as I don't have enough time for him and it is a waste. I would like to keep him at the current yard and I am open to ideas on sharing/loaning as he is so special I just don't have the time to give him with my new job. 15h 11 year old Connemara Dun Gelding for Sale

Beautiful Happy Hacker. I'm offering this handsome boy for sale to happy hacking home only. Sadly he is not 100% sound on a circle and despite extensive investigations with a Newmarket Vet practice we have been unable to establish the cause and hence cure. He enjoys hacking and shows no sign of pain in this environment having completed the Burghley long distance ride recently with no ill effects afterwards. He has hunted once with the Easton Harriers and was impeccably behaved despite it being his first time out. He is a lovely hack and my 13 year old daughter hacks him out alone and in company. He is not a ploddy kick a long type he has a nice active walk and is responsive off the aids. He has loads of personality and loves people and life. Good to catch, farrier, clip, loads and travels in lorry or trailer. Safe enough to use as lead rein. We are in a rural area so don't see much traffic, he can be genuinely shy with large lorries and tractors but never difficult at worst will move up on pavement or have a little wobble has never spun, bolted, reared etc but for this reason would not class him as fit for nervous or complete novice. Bertie is our gorgeous mother daughter share cob gelding who we have owned for 2 years. He is currently in work 4-5 days per week schooling, hacking and natural horsemanship games/sessions however my daughter is not doing as much as hoped and I'm finding it difficult to keep up the work I think Bertie needs to bring him on. Bertie is kept at Southview yard just outside Wellingborough. It has miles of off road hacking including a nice long strip to gallop up, and a flood lit ménage. There are lots of people to hack with and the potential to join the yard parelli group. I am looking for someone who wants to work with Bertie at least 2 days per week, who is no more than 11.5 stone in weight, and who is happy to ride in a treeless saddle. You will also need rider insurance please, which I will check. Payment to made monthly in advance. We can agree set days or I can be totally flexible depending on what you want to do. Bertie can occasionally spook when out hacking, particularly if alone, although he tends to jump to the side or forward and comes back to listen pretty quickly. However, he can nap if you try a route he's not so familiar with and therefore needs firm direction from his rider. When schooling he will try to get away with minimum effort as he's pretty laid back and chilled out. However, he can move beautifully and be relaxed and forward if you are firm but sensitive with him. I wouldn't say he's a born jumper so if jumping is your thing you will need to work at it to develop him with this. He's had both my kids and my kids' novice friends on him and I am happy to have my 11 year old daughter hack him out around the open fields with me walking/running beside. No set days, no yard/stable chores, come up once a week or every day, completely up to you! I am looking for someone who is into natural horsemanship (like me) is patience, kind but confident and experienced with horses. You also need to be lightweight (under around 11stone) due to Sonnys age. About Sonny: Sonny is a rising 4 year old big cuddly doofus! He is a real sweet heart and doesn't have a bad bone in his body. He is barefoot and bitless, and lives out 24/7 on my tack system livery (Abbotts View Livery: Barefoot and Back to Nature). He is excellent on the ground to have his feet done, be tacked up, be groomed, stand for the equine podiatrist, vet etc. He was lightly backed this summer and is riding away nicely. Has just learnt to trot with a rider and always tries despite his lack of balance! He is certainly more 'woah' than go, and due to his age I don't want him doing any more than going out for little walking hacks with the odd trot, or plodding about the fields. If you are really into riding, I have another horse, Buckthorn, a 14.2hh 6 year old that you would be able to have a proper hack/canter on if you fancied it once in a while and as Sonny progresses, I would like to take the two of them out in my trailer to the local woods for hacks.
