very sad sale of our beautiful family cob. Ride and drive gelding. Topper is 13.1hh and is 13years old. Chunky lad with feather and lots of mane n tail. Topper knows his job driving. can drive down the busiest heavest roads with no problems. will drive on own or in company. done driving trials with 4 wheel buggy in previous home and pulled 2 wheeled trap with us.. Also in the time we've owned him hes been ridden by all members of the family including novice children n grandma. Hes attended local shows in inhand with one of my novice children. done handy pony which he is total unflappable. This summer he joined the local carnvival prade with big bands n loads of noise again with no problems.. I can not fault this lad. Will let kids mess with him n brush him. stables and turns out without any vices. rides alone and in company in open field, trails, busy roads etc. fab with farrier and to load.. 100% genuine sale. older child lost intrest and lack of time to drive him. such ashame to see him stood around when hes super at his work and loves his job as a alround family cob.. He’s 25. He’s up to date with vaccinations teeth feet. Recently had a check up from the vet and back check. I retired him 2 months ago as I bought a younger horse. He’s been turned out on grass livery. But he looks really fed up he misses doing a job. He’s brilliant with kids novices can ride him. He does not hack alone he just plants his feet. He’s a happy hacker doesn’t like the school but will go in on lead rein. Doesn’t bite buck rear kick etc. Great in traffic. Doesn’t like bycicles snorts at them. He would suit a home as a light hack/companion he has mild arthritis but can still be ridden vet has given the all clear. He is a really lovely boy he can have his stubborn moments but he is great to handle and isn’t a bad bone in his body.before he retired he worked in the riding school doing the kids parties and hacks. hope he can find a lovely home where he will be loved as much as I love him. He is sold from the field as I have no tack for him and no one to ride out with where he is. He will come with some turnout rugs and head collar. I am looking for a gelding between 15.3hh and 16.3hh, 5 to 11 years old. I am a competent but nervous rider, so would like a riding club horse with scope for Novice level eventing. He must be safe and sensible, but also have ability. Essential can hack alone and in company. But will require sole hacking at times, so a must to be able to go out alone. Ideally no vices, but if perfect in every other way, i.e. rideable and safe, am open minded to minor issues. Will be subject to a full 5 stage vetting. In return I’ll provide a 5* home, with full stabling facility, to be kept in over winter, membership of a local riding club, so regular exercised, with access to plentiful hacking in the country. Ted is a 15hh true middleweight 4 year old skewbald Irish Draught x Cob Gelding. This young horse is so mannerly and sensible, always waiting for the next command as he is young but willing to learn and please.
