Wanted - safe older pony for grandchildren

Wanted - an older pony (over 12 years would be fine) approx 9hh - 11hh - preferably a gelding but would consider an easy going mare. Colouring and looks are unimportant - it's all about the temperament. Barefoot and able to live out (we have a field shelter) and own the paddock and field attached to our home. Forever home offered to the right pony. The pony would need to be easily handled by young children (aged 3-8) they want to be able to groom it including washing and picking hooves - ride it very occasionally (approx once a fortnight when they come to stay) on our local quiet bridle paths - they would be on a lead rein but on our paddock the 8 year old (who is extremely slight - under 3 stone - and small for her age) would like to be able to just walk and trot freely. the pony would need to be able to carry up to 5 stone for hacking so that the girls could continue to ride as they grow.We already have a 12hh section b gelding who is a little sharp so they can't ride him off the lead rein or groom him without very close supervision - he's a little spooky but although he wasn't as advertised he has a life long home with us - I just want to be absolutely sure that the next little one is not spooky ! We also do a lot of groundwork and agility which the children would like to be able to do with a smaller calmer pony. So the home that we are offering would involve occasional riding - lots of grooming as I love it ! Groundwork / agility and going for walks along the lanes and bridle paths with or without the grandchildren. 13.2 Pony A Perfect Mother Daughter Share or First Pony

This pony has been an absolute dream in the time that we have had him and he hasn't put a foot wrong. I rescued him from a very bad situation a few months back and he has been so gentle and loving bless him. He will go anywhere load onto anything great with the farrier and he let me fully clip him without even tying him up. We have taken him for long hacks over valleys and across motorway bridges and he didn't even bat an eyelid. His only down point is that he's a bit slow but I'm sure he would get a bit quicker once he was fitter. Whoever comes to see him will fall in love with him. He can only wear lightweight rugs as he grows a thick rug and sweats but he was much better once clipped. He would make the perfect mother daughter share as even though he is only 13.2hh he looks and rides a lot bigger and to be honest I was shocked when I measured him. He is very low in the pecking order on the field and does tend to get picked on so I put him in with my Donkeys but he then started picking on them so he would have to be with nice horses that didn't pick on him. I really don't want him to go to a riding school. He is a pony that you could put your nan on but I really want him to go to a loving home because he has had a really horrid start in life. Please get in touch if you would like to know anything else but please no joy riders as he is just too sweet x He's a little boy that deserves a loving home where he can plod along happily and have a nice life x He's just had his feet trimmed again and they are fabulous now and shouldn't need shoes and I've just given him a pramox so he's wormed up to date. I rescue ponies and Donkeys that have had a bad start get them all back to perfect health and the ones that are as good as this one I find homes for so all we have done is build him up and ridden him round various valleys etc for hours which he loves but haven't done anything like jumping etc. He's quite heavy set more like a shires build but pony sized which makes him look like a show hunter type? Looking grazing land for long term rent for two horses or willing to share with someone else and in that case would only need space for one. I am near holywell green/elland so close to there but don't mind a short travel I.e scapegoat hill/ bolster moor/ scammonden or Outlane etc. Grazing in this area is proving difficult to find so considering a quiet DIY livery but would need help with turning out/bringing in as I work awkward shifts.
