‘Doofus’ Irish sports horse/hunter

For sale ‘Doofus’ 16.2 aprox irish sport horse. 8yrs Gelding Doofus has been my personal project for the last 5/6 months and is now fully tested and ready to go to nice new suitable home. Doof has done all fun rides, and out with the flint and Denbigh, even been on camping/trekking break in the mountains with me! jumps all manner of materials keenly now. 16.2hh Irish daft x cob type Hunter for sale. 6 years old. Has hunted in Ireland and hound exercised with Sinnington Hunt Hounds. Proving to be very mannerly on the field taking it all in his stride. We havent owned Mr Mee aka Blue very long as was sold to me by a dealer who has now blocked me. I have found Blue to be a very kind but very nervous on the ground with people, however he has lovely manners, not bargy or bolshy at all. Just wary, but he gets to know you are not going to hurt him, he is lovely. He has only done very very basic schooling, not in a field but in a school enviroinment as feels worried schooling in a large open field on his own. But happy to ride in open fields without any bother, just schooling. He would make a fantastic Maxi cob with someone who can put the time in to school correctly, he is very athletic for a big horse, bouncy and good hock action. Unfortuneately he is not for me as i wanted a get on and go type. You can get legged up or from ground, needs patience at a block to get on. Time and patience is what this boy needs. He hacks out happily on his own or company and is very good in traffic. Been hacked out on own with my 12yrs Daughter atm. Good with farrier, groom, traffic, havent clipped him so wouldnt know and takes a minute to load in trailer or wagon. I’ve come to the difficult decision to sell Casper as he is being wasted with me. I bought him with the intention of getting back into jumping as that’s what he excels at but I just haven’t had the time and he deserves more than to be stuck in a field. Casper is very loving and kind but at some point has had a horrible past, he is very weary of men and of sudden movements around his head. He ideally needs someone with a lot of time to give to build up a bond with him. He is not a novice ride as he can get very strong, he hacks alone or in company although does prefer company. He’s fine in traffic and we live on a farm so is used to tractors and farm machinery. He has only been hacked a handful of times in the last 6 months so is unfit and a bit fresh at the moment, obviously this will get better if he was brought back into regular work. He would jump a course at 1.10 with ease and seems to love his jumping. He has previously hunted but not with me. I can provide pictures. His only real vice is that he doesn’t travel in a trailer. For sale is my chestnut YO Irish sports horse gelding. Charlie is easy to do in always stands to be groomed by both adults and kids. Can live in or out or both, turns out with mares and geldings from shetlands to shires! Good for the farrier currently has back and front shoes on. Good to tack up, pick out feet, rug etc. Never seen kick or bite. Charlie has been hunted in the past also done cross country and show jumping, brilliant jumper can send videos if intrested! He is not a school master but will have a go and try he's best and with a bit or consistency he would do loads better. Out hacking he is a diamond doesn't get silly or strong he is not fazed by traffic what so ever goes out alone or in company first or last. For the last 3 1/2 years I have developed his schooling and showjumping, despite never refusing and rarely knocking down a fence in a show jumping ring, his canter needs developing further if looking to buy for showjumping. Advert on behalf of my daughter 16.1 ISH Mare - 13 Years Old Price is negotiable for the right home. Only selling as a project due to negatives as described, as she's a dream of a horse to ride. Sad sale of my lovely mare Tilly, only for sale as I don't have the time to give her what she needs. This mare deserves someone who can devote all their time and attention to her as she's a creature of habit and likes her routine. Positives Tilly is lovely mare, excellent in traffic and has a lovely confirmation. She has competed with me in X Country, coming 2nd in our first ever pairs and and also done local show jumping, being placed every time, she is a very honest jumper. Previously hunted although not with me. She has excellent stable manners and is excellent with farrier, dentist and to clip. She's up to date with her vaccinations and dentist. She hacks out alone but prefers company. She has a split in her front leg which was there when I bought her but doesn't affect her and did have a suspensory ligament strain in Sept needed box rest for 2 weeks and has been sound ever since. Negatives She use to load with no problems but having a pony fall on her in trailer she's reluctant to load but once in she is fine. Needs more work on this to build back up her confidence. She has been known to rear & bolt whilst in hand but not done this now for awhile. Never bolted whilst ridden but has previously bunny reared but when asked to go forward she does. Summary I'm sure with some ground work, time and dedication she will overcome her negatives. Experience riders only as she is not a novice horse. I bought honey a few months back looking forward too working with her. But as my job hours changed she never done much. Now she's re started her education. She sometimes will bounce like she's going too rear. She has had a physio saddler dentist and there is nothing wrong with her. It's just down too education. She is green. Honey will work in a lovely outline, we have been working on walk and trot at the moment as don't want too rush her. She will pop a small jump but does have days where she won't and refuses too move! I am more than happy for her too be tried more than once. Just so it's the right home. This is a VERY hard decision but I don't have the time too put into her. She is % on the roads I have only ever hacked her with company. % on the ground in the stable and is currently in a mixed herd in the field. MASSIVELY REDUCED!!! as she is just going to waste with me sat in a field... passed a 5*vetting I was given an advisory on the certificate to get my farrier out as her front hooves were long in the toe and low in the heel this is now being corrected by my farrier, she has an old scare on her left front leg witch was given the all clear by the vet....This lovely mare was bought for me by my husband as a surprise but unfortunately as I have not riden for around 2 years I'm finding her to be to big for me and the fact that she is till green and only just 5 years old, and as I'm a nervous rider I feel she is not suitable for me, she's a quite mare and easy to deal with in always, I have only had her around a month now, she has jumped and hacked with her previous owner and been to a few shows, more pics and video's on request.. no time waste please..
