Sadly we need to depart with our much loved T2 camper due to a move. He is a T2 Bay with full 12 months MOT having just passed, and is tax exempt. Interior there is a seat that converts to a rock n roller bed, including all bedding, and a good amount of storage space In the last year he has really been looked after, with new brakes, cylinders, tyres, all new shocks, ignition, steering damper, and just been fully serviced. He's a good runner, left handed steering (but that hasn't been a problem at all for us!) and we have had some fun times in him - and hope to find someone who wants some adventures in him too! Reluctant sale of our very much original and reliable orange and white, RHD ’73 ‘westy’. We’re only the 2nd owners since new and have 4 folders full of history. We purchased it in November and since then we have covered England, Wales, Ireland and western Europe with no hiccups. It is on its 2nd cc engine, which was fitted in Germany in August 91. In June we fitted a weber single carb conversion kit. MOT expires in August . The living area is all original Westfalia, which comprises of full width rock n roll bed, fold away 2 ring gas hob, sink, cooler box fridge, wardrobe, swivel/removable table, buddy seat/stool and 2 berth pop top. Also included is the original awning and child’s hammock bed, which fits over the front cab seats. vw camper t2 late bay mot small project drives

vw late bay tin top, , originally from Arizona, very solid,very small easy project,  Be the first to camp in it. No welding needed, chassis is in great condition, all jacking points solid, front panel very solid, all wheel arches are straight and solid. The paintwork is in its original colour, and the body does have a few dings in it, but easily repairable. It's got a superb patina look to it with its sunburnt Paint. 1 key fits all the doors, with a separate new ignition barrel and key. The engine is a cc with twin carbs, sounds great, just needs a tune or maybe even a good run, pulls superb. no leaks, no Endfloat, gearbox and clutch is good too, I will list everything I have Puchased for it, we named it "clem" short for clementine. It has a westfalia wardrobe (from Just kampers). A original Westfalia rock n roll bed, covered in black vinyl. The camper has insulation throughout, new carpets in the front, and in the back. newly covered front seats,(small tears in)  it's a walk through. dash board is cracked  (from the hot usa sun). door cards are ok, few tears in,but cheap and easy to replace. New kick Panels. The headlining is original, it is very dry and easily damaged, but it's there. interior lights are missing. The indicator stalk is faulty, I Puchased a new one but it's the wrong one, I can supply that anyway. Maybe you can adapt it to fit ? It's had new brakes that still need to be beaded in, I have not even covered 5 miles on them. The front beam has been greased etc. It also has had a new windscreen fitted, with new window rubbers fitted throughout  (other than 1 window). I motd the bus, to use it,then decided to replace parts here and there,so it has hardly been driven, it needs to be trailerd away, but after a day should be fine to drive. Any inspection welcome. either a easy re-paint, or run it original. I have lots of photos available for it, Health issues are forcing me to sell it. New OEM grade CV boots been fitted while he was there so he's good to go. Right hand drive (steering wheel on the proper side!!) He has a Devon Eurovette pop top, good canvas, watertight. Solid body, all metalwork was carried out by John at 81a VW Services in Southport using OEM panels. Interior refit carried out at Campershak. 2 bar roofrack with hardwood slats & stainless fixings.  Stainless steel American truck mirrors. Original steel wheels with 4 good chrome hubcaps & polished stainless steel beauty rings.  4 tyres with great tread & good spare mounted to front with colour coordinated cover.  All electrics in good working order. We didnt like the smell of cooking in the van, nor the risks of sleeping with gas cylinders!!** He starts 1st turn of the key. There is a lever arch folder with a plastic wallet for each year since holding every receipt, MOT and even tax discs. Lots and lots (and LOTS) of photographs showing various stages of repairs and updates, far too many to put on this listing (supplied on a memory stick). Bad Points Paint looks great, super shiny but its not showroom fresh. We use him loads so there are the odd marks & chips. Rear hatch has some rust inside the bottom edge (treated so hasnt progressed). Passenger door (so called rust free import) has some minor bubbling to the bottom edge (outside only, door bottom is solid). Engine bay could do with a tidy up. Im a firm believer in "if it aint broke don't fix it!!" It won't take much to make him perfect....... if the perfect look is your thing. We bought him to use, not show, and he has been awesome and will continue to be an awesome home from home with no additional work.
