VW LTt Horsebox

We are selling our beloved mickey. He has about miles on the clock. 2.4 Diesel engine. Power steering and CD player which are both rare in a box of this age. Starts first time everytime, even in the coldest of weather he never let us down. Mickey is an older lorry, so has had some work done. We had the gear linkage replaced so he drives like an absolute dream, he's no formula 1 and he won't win any races but he's reliable and sturdy. Payload is 900kg and that was with driver, fuel and 2 very heavy spare tyres. Partition comes out and there is space for tack in Luton. Super lovely box. Only for sale as I lost my horse and my new one won't fit! Easy to drive. Great first box. Gutted to be parting. £ with full 12 month MOT, will take less without, happy to sell without as he's had the all clear from a mechanic already and may just need a bit of welding doing, we had a quote for £150 to do this but I don't believe it would fail a test because of it. Brilliant lorry starts first time never let us down!! miles on the clock, diesel. Hydraulic ramp. Will fit 2x 16.1 horses in. (Horses in pics are 15hh Chucky cobs) pulls with ease. MOT till Nov 17, yet can put a 12month ticket on it. Very cheap to insure (£115 a year!!) and can be driven on a car license. Been a brilliant first lorry. Sad sale due to uni commitments. Lots of space in for tack and day living, could easily be used for pony camps etc as small bed above camp! Don't let age put u off as this lorry has plenty of life left in it!! Lt35d Vw 3.5tonne cc side loading horsebox stalled for 2. 2 axle rigid body. Will take a horse easily with plenty of room to spare. Old but reliable and certainly won't break any speed limits but gets you from a - b. I bought this off a friend a year ago and know over the past 8 years it has had very few problems. I had some work done on it last year to get it through its mot with the intention of being able to get out again but then found out I was pregnant- impeccable timing! Honest and genuine sale as owing to 2 children and a lack of time, I have decided to sell up horse and all associated paraphernalia- hence sale of the box. Man VW 7.5 Tonne Horse box for sale. MOT, until February - passed MOT this year only needing 1 new tyre. Currently TAX'd but dont think this can carry onto new owner with new Tax laws! Owned by myself and a close friend for the last 13 years. In the last 5 years of my ownership it has had 2 new batteries with isolator fitted, A new brake system to allow it to meet current MOT standards, the air compressor serviced and rebuilt and been regularly serviced. Extensive work has been carried out on the box to remove any rusty framework. This included removal the unusable side ramp and having a tack area door fitted and new reinforced ramp hinge area to cope with heavier horses. A new double skin floor has been fitted in the last Months with rubber matting fitted in top, but regularly lifted to ensure floor remains dry. Lights fitted in box to ensure easy loading at night. This lorry will easily carry 3 large horses. My horse is 17hh with sufficient head room. It has been weighed with 3 horses on board and does not exceed maximum gross weight. Very reliable lorry, used most weeks. Have competed and driven to events all over the country in this lorry without thinking twice. Starts first time every time but can be a little smokey when cold. CD player with decent speakers installed for those long journeys. It currently doesn't have living installed but is a good size area to have items fitted, currently has saddle racks mounted on the wall. Only selling due to inheritance has allowed me to get something newer and wishing to have living due to doing further away events. This lorry has no power steering but as a female driver I have never found this a problem. There are also some small rust patches starting to come through the paintwork on the cab but nothing structural or serious, Previous repairs have been made to both cab rear corners. Hi I'm selling my horse box due to ill health. It is plated till April with no advisories This a very basic lorry with a small living, with cooker and sink, with pump but unfortunately I have not been able to use it. It will take 3 or 4 ponies or 2 x 16 hh. I was going to change to telescopic portions and take out the storage box then you could probably get 2/3 bigger horses in. This a very old box but it is very reliable and very solid, my lorry man who took it for its plating was very impressed with how solid and clean it is. In the time Iv had it we have put........ New slave cylinder and brakes cleaned up this month. New Fuel pump New Starter motor I put 3 windows in the horse area. And fixed a leek. It has a double wood floor with rubber mates on top. It has very good interior lights in living and horse area, with a good ramp light. I can do the ramp on my own. No power steering but before my illness I drove it fine. 5 gears. It has a built in trickle and boost charger (see photos) And 2x separate leisure batteries.
