Old but reliable and certainly won't break any speed limits but gets you from a - b. I bought this off a friend a year ago and know over the past 8 years it has had very few problems. I had some work done on it last year to get it through its mot with the intention of being able to get out again but then found out I was pregnant- impeccable timing! Honest and genuine sale as owing to 2 children and a lack of time, I have decided to sell up horse and all associated paraphernalia- hence sale of the box. Very easy box to manage, with a reasonably light ramp and reversing camera. No power steering- just a basic cab and no living area. Man VW 7.5 Tonne Horse box for sale. MOT, until February - passed MOT this year only needing 1 new tyre. Currently TAX'd but dont think this can carry onto new owner with new Tax laws! Owned by myself and a close friend for the last 13 years. In the last 5 years of my ownership it has had 2 new batteries with isolator fitted, A new brake system to allow it to meet current MOT standards, the air compressor serviced and rebuilt and been regularly serviced. Extensive work has been carried out on the box to remove any rusty framework. This included removal the unusable side ramp and having a tack area door fitted and new reinforced ramp hinge area to cope with heavier horses. A new double skin floor has been fitted in the last Months with rubber matting fitted in top, but regularly lifted to ensure floor remains dry. Lights fitted in box to ensure easy loading at night. This lorry will easily carry 3 large horses. My horse is 17hh with sufficient head room. It has been weighed with 3 horses on board and does not exceed maximum gross weight. Very reliable lorry, used most weeks. Have competed and driven to events all over the country in this lorry without thinking twice. Starts first time every time but can be a little smokey when cold. CD player with decent speakers installed for those long journeys. It currently doesn't have living installed but is a good size area to have items fitted, currently has saddle racks mounted on the wall. Only selling due to inheritance has allowed me to get something newer and wishing to have living due to doing further away events. This lorry has no power steering but as a female driver I have never found this a problem. There are also some small rust patches starting to come through the paintwork on the cab but nothing structural or serious, Previous repairs have been made to both cab rear corners. Starter Box! This lorry can be driven on a standard driving licence by a 17 year old and is MOT'd until April . Starts every time, I've left it week or two and has started first time - no problem! Milage: The previous owner replaced the floor in the horse section approximately 4 years ago. Since I've owned the lorry I've: had 2 cameras fitted so there is an option to check on the horse(s) or to switch a reverse camera; reinforcing the floor of the luton and fitted it with curtains and new carpet - this makes for a decent sleeping area for those overnight shows! Granted, the paintwork on the lorry isn't great...but don't let this put you off. This is only cosmetic after all! The only reason I'm selling is to upgrade! Hello this a good old vw van It's empty and solid. The engine was removed and new oil seals fitted. So the engine now needs refitting. It's all there, the cam belt will need refitting (a new one advisable) the van had long mot when engine was removed but has been sat hard standing for near two years. Rolls around ok though.
