Elegant oak (?) writing bureau which has a a nice glow and isin good vintage condition. The front flap drops open to provide a writing surface, which has an inlaid leather section with no stains, rips or snags.The inside upper part has open storage compartments with a small drawer in the middle and there are two drawers beneath the writing area which can hold extra supplies and/or correspondence.The legs are turned, and the wood of the front flap is designed in a diamond pattern.This is a very neat and useful item for bedroom, living room or hall.It was purchased secondhand in the 's.
