Vintage Allegro racing bike - Bottom bracket needs replacing**

Beautiful old racing bike in need of a TLC - this will make a nice project or will be useful for parts. Frame fits me perfectly and I am 5'10. Wheels and tyres in good condition. Frame has wear and tear but is sturdy. No tape on the handlebars - although I was riding this without and I thought it looked quite slick. I was riding this bike to work until last week when the bottom bracket broke. I had been meaning to buy myself a fixie so thought I would take the opportunity to sell this on rather than fix it. Nice s Raleigh ladies touring bike. Lovely mixte frame geometry. Strong and elegant. Michelin World Tour tyres. Weinmann brakes. 5 speed. TDC freewheel. Mudguards, chainguard and rear carrier. Chromed steel rims. This is a nice touring commuting bike, excellent compromise between speed and comfort. On one hand it has big wheels (same size as racing bikes of the era) and drop handlebars, so it can be pretty fast. On the other hand cycling position is relatively upright, being quite comfortable to ride (for a road bike) and comes with many accessories to make your life on the road easier. Mudguards are a must in London, rear carrier allows you to transport your stuff with you and the chainguard protects your clothes from the chain. Tyres are quite wide too so not a harsh ride. Comes serviced with new cables, new chain, tyres pumped up, etc. Ready to go, just cycle away. Please note that whilst in good condition for age, it is a 30 years old bike. It is tatty in places and has some wear and tear related to age. Tyres a bit old, a rip in saddle, etc, but as said above everything works. All reflected in the price (which is NOT negotiable).
