Charming old piece of furniture in need of a lot of love. As you can tell from the pictures it's a mid century writing desk, missing one of the main drawers. (I've kept this part stacked with magazines). It's got some other cute features - like two little miniature drawers, just below the top, and these are lined with dark red velvet inside. Otherwise - a real DIY object. The desk is sold as seen - it's got loads of marks and wear so please make sure you are aware of it's condition. Retro Mid Century Bureau Writing Desk Vintage

Funky mid century style vintage bureau for sale. A vintage item from the '70s I believe, this bureau has been painted a dark grey and been stencilled with a hexagon design to give it a fresh and modern new look. The leather handles on the drawer and also the desk lid complement the mid century modern design whilst also making it a functional piece, you can easily lift down the lid no problem, often a problem with old bureaus. The bottom compartment has 2 sliding doors, providing extra useful storage for larger items. Finally the bureau has lovely dansette tapered legs, which give it that mid century feel. Vintage Mid Century Light Oak Desk/Writing Desk Beautifully made piece of old furniture. This is a very large desk, it measures: 137cm wide 76cm deep 75 cm tall The top does come off to assist moving it, with metal fittings under the top that can be undone to take the top off (although i have not tried this as we moved it into my home as whole) One very wide shallow draw across the middle with 2 deeper drawers on the right hand side and a handy writing/paper ledge that pulls out at the top. There are a quite a few ring marks on the top and some other marking on the top from years of use, and some surface damage to the left hand drawer handle, which could be sanded down. It is still a beautiful solid piece of vintage furniture despite the signs of wear, but selling at a lower price because of this. Only selling due to lack of space.
