Vintage Mid Century Light Oak Desk/Writing Desk Beautifully made piece of old furniture. This is a very large desk, it measures: 137cm wide 76cm deep 75 cm tall The top does come off to assist moving it, with metal fittings under the top that can be undone to take the top off (although i have not tried this as we moved it into my home as whole) One very wide shallow draw across the middle with 2 deeper drawers on the right hand side and a handy writing/paper ledge that pulls out at the top. There are a quite a few ring marks on the top and some other marking on the top from years of use, and some surface damage to the left hand drawer handle, which could be sanded down. It is still a beautiful solid piece of vintage furniture despite the signs of wear, but selling at a lower price because of this. Only selling due to lack of space. (I've kept this part stacked with magazines). It's got some other cute features - like two little miniature drawers, just below the top, and these are lined with dark red velvet inside. Small wooden 19th century desk / dressing table. Good condition. Recent valuation gave auction estimate of £. - - - - - - - - - - Dimensions (cm) 75h x 106w x 50d Unsure of material, however it has been suggested to me that it could be walnut. I believe it was originally a dressing table as it looks like a mirror may have once been attached. There are some struts supporting the legs on each side which look like they were added. Top surface is in two parts with a gap running through, unsure if this is original construction. Surface is in average condition with some scratches and blemishes.
