Hofner Violin Cavern Reissue Bass German Manufacture

Hofner '61 Reissue Violin Bass 'Cavern' Edition & Case The bass is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition and is an accurate reissue of the first of Macca's Violin basses. This one has the pickups mounted closer together and a flat back with the early Hofner logo. The bass has a lovely neck with an easy action along its short scale. The frets are in excellent condition and everything is original. The bass has some small blemishes to the lacquer and dings on the sides and headstock as it's been gigged. Nothing structural and the trussrod turns as it ought to. Hardware has some slight tarnishing to the metalwork as pictured. It comes with the original case although two of the catches are damaged it is still functional. UK sale only no trades please. These retail at over £! A German made bass for the price of a contemporary. Bag an Easter bargain. Pickup preferred with cash but I will post UPS at buyers cost. Only selling as I have two. As new- Hofner bass - This is the Stu Sutcliffe Tribute version with close spaced original Hofner 'Black Bar' pick-ups.- It is a lovely bass that I bought new, but I just do not play. I wanted to practice watching telly, but it is just too nice to use so casually. You can play it acoustically but of course it is at its best plugged in with the classic Hofner sound! This comes complete with the fitted Hofner Hard Case (with key) and the tags truss rod tool etc. These seem to retail for £659 - without the case on that website so this will be a bargain for somebody. 's HOFNER PROFESSIONAL SOLID BASS GUITAR (182/E1) this will be a great bass when finished,most of the original parts are present,straight neck with fully working truss rod,no fret wear or wear to the fretboard,no cracks in the scratchplate, beautiful original nickel bridge and tailpiece,at some point the body was painted blue but the paint comes off really easy,I'm not sure of what wood it is,there are four machine heads with screws but they are odd, pictures I have seen of this bass the body was originally red,in parts alone the guitar would be worth a lot more but it would be a shame to break it up for parts,collection in person only.   Beatle bass bridge top--Corian

This is a bridge top suitable for a Hofner style/Beatle Bass or other floating bridge. I had some Beatle style basses and whilst the Hofner style bridge tops with the four little pieces of fretwire worked I experimented with some corian which is very hard and it works great. The measurements are: lebgth 70mm   width 12mm  Centre of hole to centre of hole 55mm. Height: I have either 10mm or 12mm so best to check your existing bridge top height. Any questions welcome.

have for sale a VERY SHORT SCALE violin bass, similar to the Pal MCartney one but much shorter. 25". Most basses are 32" and a short scale would normally be 30". This instrument is new and with hard custom case. £250 plus postage.
