Antique Full Size Violin. Possibly Late - Early German

The label on this quality instrument is missing but the remnants can clearly be seen inside. For this reason the violin maker unfortunately can not be verified. It does however have a rich full bodied resonant sound to grace any string group or orchestra. I believe it is of a German maker but this is not verified. This violin has received a light cosmetic facelift. Cleaned and inspected to ensure perfect playability. New strings, Tuning pegs, Tailpiece and Bridge. The sound post is set and firm. Typically this would suit a player how has mastered the violin with good grades and want to progress to a quality instrument to further their skill. Nicely figured clean one-piece back with only light surface scratching. Clean close grained top with nice colour. Old repaired crack on outer side of lower bout from bottom edge to outside of r/h F hole. One very short fine crack (1"long) to right of tailpiece. No sound post or bass bar cracks. Original Tabil -Stabil chinrest. Good quality set of pegs fitted. New nylon cored strings fitted similar to Dominants Violinhas very attractive sound with very even balance. Good range with sweet upper register and a sonorous G string. An attractive original historic patina. Golden-orange-brown varnish.
