Vintage French Corbeille Bed (Double) Lovely bed, upholstered in duck egg damask silk, with cream painted carved woodwork. Includes bed board and mattress which were made specially for the bed and have only been used on a few occasions in a guest bedroom. Upholstery has a few stains and tears, as would be expected from a bed this age, please see images for examples. Water marks are shown in the more detailed pictures. Vintage French Louis Bed (Large UK Double)

This vintage French bed was bought as an up-cycling project but due to time restrictions I haven't been able to complete it. It was bought from a family in Warwickshire who import French beds. It is a French King Size but is realistically a large UK double. The previous owner said that it would fit a UK King size mattress. It would need a bit of paint and to be recovered but the upholstering is not bad. Made up of 4 pieces: headboard, foot board and 2 side panels. Vintage French inspired painted shabby chic double bed - newly upholstered base

Vintage French inspired painted shabby chic double bed - newly upholstered base This bed has been hand painted with a white base coat and then hand painted with Autentico Vintage chalk paint in Soft Grey before being lightly distressed. I have hand finished the wardrobe with a white chalk wax to add durability which has a lovely matt finish. This effect gives an authentic rustic french shabby chic look. This is a super Vintage double bed. The bed is made from mahogany. The bed has a lovely shaped headboard with a central carved detail and shaped mouldings. The bed has iron sides made by Vono, which simply bolt on. The bed has is original base which has been newly upholstered with plain white cover. The double mattress then sits on top of the base. The base is designed to fold in centre, to help navigate the stairs. The foot board have beautiful swan necked ends. This would make a super centre piece to any bedroom be it traditional or contemporary. Dimensions are: overall width mm. overall length mm. headboard height mm. height of base from the floor 380mm. Being French, it can happily take a UK standard double mattress, which leaves the beautiful wooden rails in full view. The bed is complete and in superb condition with a lovely colour and sound construction with no creaks or splits or scratches or wobbles. It bolts together with the original bolts but has a new slatted base fitted, all complete and sound and easily screwed in to the frame, see pictures. So the best of both worlds.
