The Ever Ready Medical Coil was produced from the s until the s and used to treat skin conditions, such as eczema and dermatitis. Patients would feel a tingling sensation when the implements were passed over an affected area. According to Black`s Nursing Dictionary (), the Coil was also used to pass a current through bathwater to treat patients suffering from nervous exhaustion or breakdown. The voltage was produced by batteries in the machine. The Coil is housed in a polished mahogany box (with swing handle) measuring 6.5 in (165 mm) x 4.5 in (113 mm) x 5 in (127 mm) and a sliding base opens to give access to a compartment that holds the batteries. It has chrome fittings and terminals, and the implements screw on to a turned mahogany handle. It is incomplete with the comb and soft rollers missing. Size small giant reign x aluminium frame, 6.7" of travel. With Fox Van Rc coil shock, shock has been push tuned by Tf tuned and serviced numerous times. Frame has some cable rub marks as expected from a used frame, no dents or cracks but there is a small scratch on the rear triangle (see pic). It has enduro bearings installed and all are working good, no creaks and feels smooth. I bought this from new for £ and I've done all sorts on it including Morzine, Leogang, All over the UK and even just did the Megavalanche on it. Also has a cane creak headset and a few spare mech hangers to go with it which cost £8 each. Also still has a hope bottom bracket installed.
