I bought this bureau 11 years ago and I have changed my decor. I got it from an antique auction and paid £85 for it. It was catalogued as s piece of furniture. I have the key. Need the space so I will take a reasonable offer.

Shabby Chic Vintage BUREAU Desk / DRESSING TABLE with Key

This is a beautiful vintage bureau. A quality piece of furniture. Ideal as a work station or a lady's dressing table. This bureau has been lovingly, personally up-cycled: Chalk painted in Annie Sloan 'Paris Grey', subtly distressed, then finished with satin varnish. 'Work areas' (top and inside bureau) have had 2 coats for extra protection and durability. The back of the bureau has been fully painted and varnished. The chest section has: One smaller drawer at top (lockable) Two slightly larger drawers below (bottom drawer is lockable) Original, unusual, drop handles with back plates Keyhole on each drawer (1 is false and 2 are at a rather jaunty angle!) The bureau section has: Lid supports that extend automatically Plenty of pigeon holes and one small drawer inside Pigeon holes have been polished with Annie Sloan dark wax Lockable with original key This vintage piece of furniture has the odd mark, commensurate with it's age, which all adds to it's shabby chic character. I think it is oak, from early 20th Century, but I'm no expert. This piece is quirky, uneven and unique - a beautiful and practical quality piece of furniture that would beautifully adorn any room in your home. Fabulous Refurbished Writing Bureau Desk with key & lights

This is a newly refurbished vintage writing bureau with storage space. This bureau has been painted in the specialist furniture Annie Sloan chalk paint in a beautiful shade of grey. The inside of the bureau and inside the drawers I have painted in a lovely contrasting shade of lilac.I have then sympathetically slightly distressed in keeping with the style of shabby "N"chic and then sealed to protect. The unit has three large drawers so plenty of storage space and all drawers have there original handles. The writing desk has two small drawers and shelving. This unit will also plug in to give the writing desk light and it also locks. The unit is made of solid rosewood by John Coyle so it really is a quality piece in fantastic condition and is also extremely heavy so you will need two strong people to collect and also a van.
