HERE I HAVE FOR SALE A VICTORIAN ADAMANTINE STRIKING MANTLE CLOCK. I HAVE A REPORT AND RECEIPT FOR THE WORK DONE ON THE RESTORATION, THE REPORT ON THE CLOCK CALLS IT A BLACK BELGIAN MARBLE CASED FRENCH STRIKING CLOCK CIRCA ..UNDERGONE SA COMPLETE RESTORATION IT IS IN FULL WORKING ORDER AND IN VERY VERY GOOD ORDER.. THERE ARE PHOTO'S WITH THE CLOCK SHOWING IT HAD A COMPLETE STRIP DOWN AT THIS TIME. IT HAS TAKEN A LITTLE PATIENCE BUT I HAVE SET THE CLOCK UP AND CAN REPORT THE CHIME ETC WORKS AS IT SHOULD STRIKES ON THE HOUR THE HOUR SO 3 STRIKES IF IT,S 3 O CLOCK AND SO ON AND ONCE EVERY HALF HOUR, ALSO IT KEEPS VERY GOOD TIME, THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WHEN FIRST SET IT UP BUT WITH PATIENCE IT KEEPS GOOD TIME THE CLOCK IS VERY HEAVY, SO I'M SWAPPING OR SELLING ON A MEET ONLY BASIS FROM MINE TO WHERE EVER WE MEET HALF WAY. OR I AM PREPARED TO ASSIST WITH YOUR COURIER. THIS CLOCK HAS BEEN LEFT TO ME HAVING ADMIRED IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS AT GRANDPAS RESIDENCE, I CANNOT GIVE MUCH MORE INFORMATION. Victorian slate/marble French mantle clock with bell chimes

I have for sale an elegant Victorian black slate and red mottled marble mantle clock, having bell chime movement. The Clock strikes on a little bell once on each half hour and on the hour it chimes according to the time. On the French movement are markings GR inside an oval shape and impressed stamp marked with AD Mougin And five-pointed star. I have added pictures of the movement with and without the steel bell attached. Clock has been recently serviced and is keeping good time. The dial is clear and has decorative hands. There is opening front glazed bezel allowing access to winding holes. At the back there is also an opening door to gain access to pendulum and bell chime movement. Clock will be supplied with a winding key and will run for more than a week on a full wind. Approximate Dimensions - 29cms tall x 24 cms wide x 14 cms depth.
