This is a very pretty Mahogany Washstand with a very unmarked marble top above which there is a multi small tiled back. There are two small drawers with brass hangles and one centre small storage cupboard. The Washstand is in excellent condition. Although I live in Portknockie this piece of furniture is being looked after by my sister who lives in Deskford due to recently moving and not having the right place for it. Lovely marble washstand with tiled back and cupboard

This is a useful and attractive piece of furniture which I have had for 36 years and am selling reluctantly because we have downsized on retirement and just don't have enough room for everything. The tiles on the backboard are burgundy with gold/yellow/green floral motifs and in perfect condition as is the marble top with red, white and grey hues in the marbling. The only wear is slight where the little catch for the cupboard door turns around. I have used the cupboard for napkins and tablecloths but it is a useful size for anything. This is a charming piece of furniture which fits in anywhere around the home. It has small coloured tiles on the upstand consisting of dark green, light green with a small flower (pink) motif and also maroon colours. There is a marble top which under it are two small drawers with small brass handles. There is a small centre cupboard with handle. The measurements of this Washstand are W42" x H48" D18". Only reason for selling is that I have moved to a more modern home and there is no space for this. Marble has a blemish (see pic), but I think this just adds to the character. Brass Towel rails good condition. Plenty of storage room - and if used in a Bathroom a handy top shelf for lotions and potions. Would make a very attractive feature piece in a bathroom with a table top sink. I have checked with a plumber and it will accommodate the necessary pipe work and a hole just needs to be cut in the marble (this was my original intention, but I've gone down the boring route of a normal sink!). Does show signs of wear as you would expect for its age. Would look stunning "Shabby Chic'd" up or just left as is, anywhere in the house. Lovely piece, my loss is your gain!
