Antique washstand dated inside, freshly refurbished in Annie Sloan French Linen with Provence internally for a bright contrasting effect. With a delicate stencil motif of a bird in flight painted on the cupboard door. The washstand has been lightly distressed to give a slight worn aged look. Finished with two coats of clear wax to protect and shine. The base of the cupboard has been lined with heatproof mat & a pretty oilcloth, cut to fit which can be removed if preferred. The washstand has a grey marble worktop which has lovely characteristic marble rings & striking patination. The upstand has been fitted with regency style tiles, with a beautiful original copper towel rail on one side with a gorgeous dull patina. The legs sit on four ceramic castors and the marble top lifts off easily for transportation. I can deliver for fuel cost, if the washstand will not fit in your car. Edwardian wash stand on original wheels. Marble top in good condition for age (see photos). This has been painted (not by me) in a soft blue/green chalk paint that matches the tiled back beautifully. A lovely solid unit, a real statement piece that could be used almost anywhere in the house. Large cupboard underneath for storage.
