Here is a lovely, fully working Victorian clock in a rare white marble finish. It features brass columns, brass centre fretwork, brass chapter ring and brass finishing strips. It strikes on the hour and half hour and will run for approximately eight days. It comes with a key and setting up instructions. HERE I HAVE FOR SALE A VICTORIAN ADAMANTINE STRIKING MANTLE CLOCK. I HAVE A REPORT AND RECEIPT FOR THE WORK DONE ON THE RESTORATION, THE REPORT ON THE CLOCK CALLS IT A BLACK BELGIAN MARBLE CASED FRENCH STRIKING CLOCK CIRCA ..UNDERGONE SA COMPLETE RESTORATION IT IS IN FULL WORKING ORDER AND IN VERY VERY GOOD ORDER.. THERE ARE PHOTO'S WITH THE CLOCK SHOWING IT HAD A COMPLETE STRIP DOWN AT THIS TIME. IT HAS TAKEN A LITTLE PATIENCE BUT I HAVE SET THE CLOCK UP AND CAN REPORT THE CHIME ETC WORKS AS IT SHOULD STRIKES ON THE HOUR THE HOUR SO 3 STRIKES IF IT,S 3 O CLOCK AND SO ON AND ONCE EVERY HALF HOUR, ALSO IT KEEPS VERY GOOD TIME, THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WHEN FIRST SET IT UP BUT WITH PATIENCE IT KEEPS GOOD TIME THE CLOCK IS VERY HEAVY, SO I'M SWAPPING OR SELLING ON A MEET ONLY BASIS FROM MINE TO WHERE EVER WE MEET HALF WAY. OR I AM PREPARED TO ASSIST WITH YOUR COURIER. THIS CLOCK HAS BEEN LEFT TO ME HAVING ADMIRED IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS AT GRANDPAS RESIDENCE, I CANNOT GIVE MUCH MORE INFORMATION. VICTORIAN OAK CASED CHIMING MANTLE CLOCK

This is a Victorian wooden cased chimes mantel clock - i am not an expert but the wood appears to be oak, and it has a glass panelled door. It has large dimensions of 13" in height x 10.5" in width x 7" deep - it weighs approx 6.5kg unpacked. Unfortunately i have lost the key to this clock, but the last time it was in use it was in working order - however as i cannot guarantee that this is still the case, then it is being sold as spares or repairs. The wooden clock casing is generally in good order, with only minor wear and tear to the extremities (corners, edges, surfaces), but there is no damage to the wood. Antique chiming wall clock. I bought this from an antique shops in Neath in the s. The shop owner told me it was fully restored. As I really wanted one I paid over a ton for it. He was a big liar as it has never seen any restoration whatsoever as a good friend who restores clocks told me at the time. That said it does work keeping reasonable time for a clock of its age. The chimes which are quite beautiful chime at every quarter of an hour. It is missing a decorative piece at the top and the finial at the bottom has become detached but only needs glueing.
