The springs have been removed from their barrels cleaned and lubricated with specialist clock oil. The clock strikes the hours on a spiral gong, and one strike at the half past. Antique Cased Pendulum Chiming Wall Clock

Antique chiming wall clock. I bought this from an antique shops in Neath in the s. The shop owner told me it was fully restored. As I really wanted one I paid over a ton for it. He was a big liar as it has never seen any restoration whatsoever as a good friend who restores clocks told me at the time. That said it does work keeping reasonable time for a clock of its age. The chimes which are quite beautiful chime at every quarter of an hour. It is missing a decorative piece at the top and the finial at the bottom has become detached but only needs glueing.
