Incredibly rare, and at the time of placing this advertisement this is the only example I could find anywhere on the internet. Made in their Tudor Brown finish the unit comes in 2 pieces with the top section removable for easy transportation. The top section has 2 cupboards either side with leaded light doors and a single shelf in each. There is also a hidden drawer in the centre and concealed lighting. The bottom desk section has a cupboard to the left, with a sliding shelf and space under for at least 2 printers. In the centre concealed by a beautifully carved door is a sliding shelf for keyboard, mouse, Apple touch pad etc. Under this shelf is a sliding wooden shelf which can be moved to either the left or right providing a useful extra work surface. On the right are 3 deep drawers providing further storage space. Overall height is 67" Top section 58" wide, 18" deep and 35.5" high. Desk size is 59.5" wide, 30" high, and 23" deep. The guitar is finished in cherry red. The neck is made up of a three-piece maple/beech/maple finish and a rosewood fingerboard. The headstock is known for its standard mother of pearl flower motif. This semi-acoustic electric guitar is the three humbucker pick-ups variant, has the Staple pickups option, as compared to the Blade pickups and the Hofner factory fitted vibrato tailpiece (tremolo). Here is a collection of 28 very rare antique engravings and lithographs from the early s to s. The portraits are all of politicians and other famous people, many of whom were members of Grillon's Dining Club in London. Grillion's is a London dining club founded in . It was founded by the British diplomat Stratford Canning as a meeting place free from the violence of political controversy. The club had no premises but met at Grillion's Hotel on Albemarle Street, from which it took its name. Later it would meet at the Hotel Cecil. The club met weekly during parliamentary session. The first fifty years of the Grillion's Club is recorded in the book Grillion's Club: From Its Origin In To Its Fiftieth Anniversary, written quoting many of the club's records by Sir Philip De Malpas Grey Egerton. The book was privately printed at the Chiswick Press in . In the 19th and early 20th centuries, many leading statesmen belonged to the club, including prime ministers Gladstone, Salisbury, Balfour, Asquith, and Baldwin. I am selling a collection of 28 portraits. I have only ever seen some of these in the National Portrait Gallery in London. Each of the portraits is in remarkable condition considering they are at least 160 years old! Some have a few water stains to their edges but in the main, most of the portrait areas (roughly 10 by 7 inches) are in a very fine and presentable condition and would look superb when framed. Many of these sketches were done by R J Lane or George Richmond - members of the Royal Academy throughout the s. Some of the engravings were done by F C Lewis, engraver to the King. Some of the famous portraits here include Robert Harry Inglis and Granville George Leveson Gower. Many of these famous 28 people were also members of the Royal Society and Society of Antiquaries. Serial No (registered) 'Hofner website' Top of the regular range of Hofner archtops, the Committee was designed to impress. The Committee sported the over-large "frondose" headstock (this one) up to , when this was replaced by a President size headstock, but still retaining the impressive "tulip" style mother of pearl inlays in the facia. Birds eye maple veneer was almost exclusively used for the body back and sides, with carved solid spruce body tops, although these seem to have been replaced with laminated tops during the 's, The Committee retained its single Venetian (rounded) body cutaway throughout its production span, which ended around about .. The neck is made of maple and mahogany in a five-part construction, and is supported by an ebony fingerboard; Splendid inlays tell the player the locations. The characteristic 'high-end' frondose headstock signifies this to be one of Hofners better guitars of the time.
