Two Vintage Old Men Hand Crafted Folk Art Paper Mache Figures! Made in Mexico. I bought them from an antiques emporium in Leek back in , they sat on my bookcase for a few years, and for the last 13 years they have been wrapped in tissue in a box unused. This is a wonderful unique vintage gift or collector piece. The unique sculptures are made from paper by Mexican handymen in special equipment of a papier-mache. It looks fragile but quite strong. The figures are standing on unpolished wood that has been varnished. Measure about 14" tall They are fairly fragile and intended for display only. PF48 maybe the only option to post at about £8. This chair has been in my family since it was bought in the Portobello when she was at last able to buy a house shortly after the war. She adored and so did my mother, so did all of us. We had it restored in the s. Sadly however it broke when we were caring fro my mother. But i have nor been able to let go of it. I have been quoted between 175 for a basic fix to 450 for a full fix with the paint renewed. I would pay this but i do not think I can keep the chair. So I am offering for a £25 donation to Vox Hollway, my local community choir which keeps so many people happy. It will make a great project for someone with a serious interest in bringing beautiful old furniture back to life. Read more
