Beautiful pure-bred Barnevelder cockerel, 9mths. Very tame and friendly and a good husband to hens.

This is a really beautiful young pure-bred Barnevelder cockerel, 9 months old. The photo doesn't really do justice to the wonderful colours in his plumage. I bred him myself, and so am very sad to lose him, but I have only a small garden and so MUST - very regretfully - downsize my little flock. His name is Tea and he is very tame and friendly - eats out of your hand. He is attentive and solicitous to his hens, which is the best thing about a cockerel - they will keep hens together and watch over them which deters some predators. He is very healthy, has been regularly wormed, and is used to a free-range life. He would be an ideal husband to someone's flock of hens, but to a good free-range home only please - ideally a farmyard or meadows. Ad ID:

Two poland crested hens and two silkie cockerels for sale. Selling as they get quite loud and neighbours start complaining. I had them all since little chicks, got the silkies as unsexed and both turned out boys, but I didn't have the heart to cull, so they need to find forever homes and not end up in pot. They are brothers and are happy to live together, the only time I had trouble with them was when there was another cockerel around. Hens were also bought by me as chicks, only few days old.
