Tideway sailing dinghy, a clinker built 'Super'

TW2 a Super Tideway, Egret (aka Allegretto) Built in and owned by Alan Smith for decades before I bought her in October, . She is in good sailing condition but needs some re-varnishing. Her original name was Allegretto but we renamed her Egret for personal and insurance purposes but the original Allegretto lettering remains on her stern but rather faded. She spent the winter of in my boathouse to first dry out after which repairs to her stem were carried out together with sika sealing the entire hull (see the photo of her suspended by straps). Unfortunately, I have only been able to sail her seldom since then and have reluctantly acknowledged that circumstances mean I am not able to sail or maintain her as she deserves. She is for sale with all the equipment she had when I bought her, all the sails, cover, running rigging and oars together with a road trailer. In the summer I keep her afloat and moored in my sheltered dike at Potter Heigham in the Noirfolk Broads. Further details and photographs are available if you email me. Tideway 12ft Classic Sailing Dinghy

Traditional 12ft gunter rigged clinker dinghy. Very sound condition. The mahogany on oak clinker hull has been stripped and re-varnished, and the mahogany rubbing strakes replaced. During the season she has been moored off Pin Mill and antifouled, and currently has primer below the waterline. "First Watch" was built by L H Walker and Son around . She has a recent set of red Jeckells sails, fixed bilge pump, good bouyancy, anchor, oars, boathook, an oldish winter cover and a good combi trailer/trolley for easy launching and recovery. She is a delight to sail, either single handed or with friends, and very sea worthy. For cruising there is good storage fore and aft. There is an excellent Tideway Owner's Association. Clinker built dinghy, mahogany on oak, 10 feet long, light construction which makes it easy to row, has been used with a small seagull engine. Very good sea boat.
