Thorowgood Griffin cob saddle 17" seat and wide fitting. Used but good condition. Does have some signs of use. The stirrup leather keepers have come away but doesn't affect the use at all and there is a nick on the cantle shown in the pictures other wise a great saddle. Has 4 girth straps all in good condition.

Thorowgood T8 Cob GP saddle black 17.5" XW/XXW

Brought this saddle for young horse who was growing and changing shape approximately a year and a half ago. Purchased as it was adjustable, but he has now levelled off and I'm buying a dressage saddle as this is the direction we are moving towards. Thorowgood advertise this saddle as a good all-round saddle for the rounder build and the low withered Cob-type horse. It has a medium depth seat is ideal for a range of riding activities and offers 4 girthing options to achieve maximum saddle stability. Synthetic underneath but has a quality leather seat and knee pads and gives the feel of riding on an all leather saddle. It is also flocked with 100% British wool. The saddle current is set with the yellow S bar gullet plate which equates to XW/XXW. I also have the white gullet plate - XW and the red gullet plate - W. The saddle has a small scuff on the pommel (see image), but other than that is in excellent condition. RRP £625 Will post at buyers expense and am open to sensible offers. Read More

Tailor-made to f it the very wide low withered horse, such as the cob-type or large native breeds e.g. Highland, Dales or roly-poly type. Also suitable for young horses with undefined withers. A lovely saddle that has been lightly used on my WB, but we have changed to a leather one and this is just sitting in my tack room. A very comfy saddle with faux suede seat and knee rolls. No marks or signs of wear anywhere on it. All girth straps are in good condition with no splits in them or any real signs of use, and has been checked by a saddler who says it's 100% sound.
