Excellent 4 season, free standing tent (just perfect as a 1 man tent) that pitches in 5 minutes. Full details from the terra nova website, search on Southern Cross 2. Having decided to return to camping after quite some years away from the activity, I purchased this tent for its relatively compact size and weight (under 3kg), ease of pitch, storage space (has two vestibules) and weather resistance. As I’ve only used the tent once I can’t testify whether it lives up to its reputed capabilities, but I can confirm that I woke with the tent intact and around me in some 40 mph plus winds on a Cornish hillside!  Genuinely pleased with my selection of tent but, having used the tent once over a period of 5 days, I realise that I’m just too old for camping now, and miss my creature comforts! I’ve pitched the price (pun intentional) at a level that I’d feel comfortable to part with it (or otherwise keep): the ‘real-world price for the tent with footprint is £ (combined list price of £593). I haven't included a picture of the tent 'pitched' simply because I haven't the space in my house to do so!
