Excellent 4 season, free standing tent (just perfect as a 1 man tent) that pitches in 5 minutes. Full details from the terra nova website, search on Southern Cross 2. Having decided to return to camping after quite some years away from the activity, I purchased this tent for its relatively compact size and weight (under 3kg), ease of pitch, storage space (has two vestibules) and weather resistance. As I’ve only used the tent once I can’t testify whether it lives up to its reputed capabilities, but I can confirm that I woke with the tent intact and around me in some 40 mph plus winds on a Cornish hillside!  Genuinely pleased with my selection of tent but, having used the tent once over a period of 5 days, I realise that I’m just too old for camping now, and miss my creature comforts! I’ve pitched the price (pun intentional) at a level that I’d feel comfortable to part with it (or otherwise keep): the ‘real-world price for the tent with footprint is £ (combined list price of £593). I haven't included a picture of the tent 'pitched' simply because I haven't the space in my house to do so! The Terra Nova Solar Competition is an ultralight one person freestanding tent (you can pick it up and move it). It weights less than 100g more than the Terra Nova Laser Competition 1 but offers significantly more head room, stability and versatility. It can be pitched 3 ways - as a double skin tent (g), as an inner tent on it's own (670g) or as a flysheet on its own - which would be big enough for two people (630g). - Fantastic low weight (g), pack size (42cm x 8cm) and strength for a solo semi-geodesic tent - ideal for adventure racers and lightweight enthusiasts. - Genuine 3 season tent (should stand up to all but the very worst weather conditions). - Relatively quick and easy to pitch - Side facing porch for great views! - Generous bathtub inner groundsheet. - Three different pitching configurations - full double skin tent (g), inner tent only (670g), fly sheet only (630g!). VANGO MARITSA 700 TENT + FOOTPRINT+CARPET!! Used twice!!! This is a fantastic tent which gives more than enough space for a large family. There are plenty of windows to let in light (curtains for privacy) fly screens so you can let the fresh air through without bugs. Integrated groundsheet also keeps bugs and drafts out. Separate sleeping pods with blackout material. Lots of hanging hooks for lights, storage pockets, cable tidies and electricity hook up entry points. Standing height throughout. The second time we used it there were actually 10 of us! We used the porch/kitchen area as another bedroom and used one of the the side doors as an entrance. It's so spacious that it's really versatile. Really strong poles and tent that stood up to torrential rain and gales on our second trip away!! Minimal wear to all items as only used twice, all poles pegs etc present. Footprint helps to prevent damage to the tent and gives extra comfort underfoot. Carpet for home from home feel, extra luxury and comfort. Aired and swept out after each use and stored indoors. All items were bought brand new by me and cost over £700 The only reason I'm selling is that my sons have now decided camping is not for them! (Teenagers!!) All original vango items, all carry bags included. Wheeled carry bag for the tent included and in full working order. There are pitching tips inside the bag but it's easy and quick to pitch (there are loads of vids online) it takes about 35 mins to pitch Unfortunately I haven't been able to pitch the tent due to the fact that I only have a yard. I've only used this excellent Tent a handful of times, only selling as I want a heavy duty expedition tent. This is nice and lightweight, and strong too!
