This traditional ridge tent, sold by 'The Scout Shop' and called 'The Tourer', has an inner tent for 2-3 persons with a tough sewn in groundsheet, and a cooking and storage area at the entrance. It has a proofed cotton outer and a nylon inner, and it is supported on 3 alloy A poles, and steel ridge poles. It is stable in wind and the skirt keeps out the draught from the cooking area at the front. Because of the cotton outer, it does not suffer from much condensation It is in quite good condition, and although it has not been used for some time, it has been stored in a dry area in the house. This Jupiter family tent is a fantastic bargain starter dome style tent with a large bedroom area high enough to stand up in. There is a separate porch or living area with an additional side door. Plenty of space and privacy panels. Fabric has a waterproof membrane and is also fire retardant. Taped stitched seams have been sealed to prevent water leaking in. Fiberglass lightweight poles are very strong and durable, poles are also colour coded making it easier to pitch the tent. Groundsheets are sewn into the inner tent or bedroom area and detachable in the additional living area. Metal tent pegs. Weight approx. 8 kilograms. Dimensions - H190 x W265 X L cms. The tent is very spacious and can accommodate 4 adults. As you can see we have a double bed and Traval cot in the bedroom compartment. It takes 10 mins to erect. We also have an vango air beam extension that fits to the tent making the living area double the size of the tents alone. There is a pump that comes with it and a tarpaulin/ ground sheet. Vango Diablo 400. Great family tent - sleeps 4 very comfortably with big living and storage spaces.

This is the best tent I have ever owned. It has a fantastic design - cosy and spacious at the same time, with sewn in groundsheet throughout the main body of the tent; in both bedrooms and the main living area. It is sturdy and I have rarely felt the need to peg out all the guy ropes because the tent's structure is solid. It is billed as a 4 man tent and each of the sleeping areas easily fits a double air mattress. The tent would accommodate more than this - I have had 3 or 4 small children in one of the sleeping areas and of course the large living area could be used for sleeping too. You can read more about the tent and other reviews on the UK campsite website - I was interested to see the shared enthusiasm other tent owners have for this tent. I am reluctant to part with it, but no longer need a family sized tent. It has a couple of patches as you'd expect from a used tent but nothing that causes ongoing problems.
