A pretty Victorian mahogany glazed small display cabinet/bookcase, of good colour and with original glass, standing on 7in (18cm) cabriole legs. Lovely polished finish, with some surface marks commensurate with its age. 2 doors, one with original inset bolts top and bottom, the other with original cabinet lock and key. Good size to fit in anywhere. Overall height ins (123cm), width 40ins (102cm) depth 11in (28cm) Three adjustable shelves in (95cm) wide, 8 5/8in (22cm) deep. Books not included! A Victorian Inlaid Mahogany Two Door Bookcase Cabinet Astrical Glazed A Victorian Inlaid mahogany two door Bookcase, set with astrical glazed doors. The bookcase cabinet is made from mahogany which has a great colour and grain patination. The cabinet is formed with it being Inlaid around the edge of the doors with Satinwood stringing. Around the edge there is some satinwood and ebony banding. Around the top there is a satinwood and ebony banding. The two doors of the cabinet are astrical glazed with shaped sections off glass. Opening the two doors it is set with two shelves which are adjustable to many positions. On the back of each door it has a brass bar at the top and bottom for hanging cloth to cover the doors if wished. The cabinet dates to around . Size Height 42” Width 36” Depth ” Condition The condition of the cabinet is excellent, it has a couple of light scuffs and marks. There is a small piece of inlay missing on the top. DESCRIPTION Here is a stunning antique Victorian secretaire bookcase. Beautiful flame mahogany finish. Bookcase to the top. Double doors open to reveal adjustable height shelving. Inside the desk there is a small door cupboard, pigeon holes and a selection of drawers. Below is a double cupboard with one shelf. DIMENSIONS Height 89" width 48" depth 21" Top lifts off the base for moving. CONDITION The condition of this is good-fair overall but there are a few things that do need to be mentioned. One button handle from one of the small drawers inside is missing. There is small piece of veneer missing from the top of the cornice. Door and drawer keys missing.
