Full width homemade bed for VW T5 LWB

This is the bed we used for years for staying in the van. Slept on it for weeks at a time.. found it very comfortable. Made it to go in the van. It consists of 4 benches (two long ones which fit over the wheel arches down the sides of the van; one that goes across the width of the van and another shorter one that fits across), three pieces of mdf that sit on top of the benches and futon mattress. We used it in two configurations: One as a bed with four benches spread out to support the three pieces of mdf to make a platform for a full width bed and futon mattress on top. The other as a sofa and for travelling with the three pieces of mdf stacked one upon another and the futon mattress folded on top like it would be on a sofa bed. Put screws into predrilled holes to hold it in place. There are no fixings required so if can he completely removed from van. It is made to fit a long wheel base T5. It works perfectly and can be pushed back to make a sofa when needed. We have just had a rock and roll bed fitted because we've had another child do needed an extra seat so no longer need it.
