Welsh sec C gelding, 14hh, 6 years old

Gladiator is a clever and attractive pony who could do any job. He has been in work for approx. 18 months, in which time he has proved himself to be safe, bold, quick to learn and useful. He loves to jump and is a safe hack, and has been ridden by all members of the family from 6 years old up to adults. He would be a quiet lead-rein pony for an older child, but is talented enough to be so much more. He has been to pony club camp and shown himself to have excellent flatwork and jumping. He has played polo, swum in the river with a rider on board, and is bold at everything he has been asked to do. He has hunted both with a child on and off the lead rein, and with a light adult. He has even carried a sidesaddle with both adult and child riders, and was totally unbothered. Although he is overheight to show as a section C, he would make a lovely working hunter pony (up to 14hh). his flatwork is good enough for pure dressage, and he never refuses a jump, safely carrying an adult rider over some huge ditches when hunting. He lives in or out and is fine with mares or geldings. ????????FOR SALE ON BEHALF OF A CLIENT ???????? Grey Irish gelding 11 yeas. A true hunter through and through nerves of steel, he whipped in for 6 years with fermanagh hunt in Ireland. He Enjoys that type of work the more the better. A fantastic little stamp of a pony 14.2. A few of these at 16.2 would be nice. He is not bothered by traffic. He is great granny's dream to handle on the floor and a hunting machine under saddle. CLEAN LIMBED. He is lightly schooled in the arena and will do this willingly but it is not his first love. LWVTB basis to ensure suitable pairing, this will need to be approx. 1hr radius of Leicestershire. Totally heart breaking decision due to being outgrown. He is good to shoe, box and trim. Never sick or sorry and no laminitis. Up to date with vet, injections, teeth and back. No lumps or bumps. Very handsome chap and is a proper showman. Truly happy little pony who really enjoys his work. He has done all PC activities with Atherstone (SJ, XC, Dressage, Musical Ride, Games – stirrup/vault, Camp, Showing) and has a very brave/bold jump (would easily affiliate). Quick to learn. He has been professionally produced over last summer and when ridden correctly will work in a lovely outline. Unfortunately my daughter did not ride him consistently. This resulted in Rocky taking charge or getting frustrated. He has never reared, bucked, refused or bolted with her, but he will go faster and faster around a course of jumps. This was totally due to my daughter inexperience and lack of commitment (phone and non-horsey peer group). With a more able and committed rider he will be a total superstar. Despite his sharpness, he is unflappable when out hacking both on roads and on tracks. He is happy to go first or last and has never hotted up. Due to my daughter still wanting to hack out I have held onto Rocky for longer. Over the years they have won a number of competitions, but as he advanced my daughter didn’t keep up. He is currently fat and unfit (for the first time in 4 years). If produced slowly and correctly he will make a cracking competition pony.
