Status Groove Bass in Old English White approx. 17 years old but no paperwork to back this up, Made in the UK. I purchased this from Bass Direct about a Year ago, selling it in favour of my Warwick Corvette Fretless. Plays brilliantly and has lovely tones, active and passive mode by using a switch on the front, comes complete with gig back (not a status one). It has a few marks as it has been frequently gigged. Status string bass for sale. Bass owned for 10 years but hardly used. This bass isn't in pristine condition, and the photo's (although not great), have highlighted where the small issues are. Status Series Headless Bass

The bass is in excellent condition for a bass from the late 80s it comes with Status gigbag and spare strings. It has a carbon graphite neck and the body is made from resin. It weighs 4.6kgs and sounds fantastic with active tone control and balance. Frets are fine with a straight neck. If you know the heritage of Status Graphite you will be aware of the quality and prestige associated with their finely crafted British made bass guitars. Bass specifications: Main body: Swamp Ash, natural satin finish Neck: Bolt-on Graphite reinforced Status three-piece rock maple neck, dual graphite rods for extra rigidity, hard wearing rosewood fred board, subtle inlaid fret markings along the top left hand side of the neck, 24 frets. Pickups: Active electronics, black hardwear, two Hyperactive high resolution pickups are controlled with a pre-shape EQ, master volume, balance and active treble cut/boost controls to create a bass sound with masses of punch. The bass was sourced and purchased by myself brand new in , it was retained as a back-up guitar to my much loved Trace Elliot T Bass used for recording sessions. The T Bass never let me down and as a consequence the Status was never used to any extent other than the odd brief twang then returned to the gig bag and stored. I'm having a clear out of all my equipment and i'm sure you will agree a guitar of this pedigree deserves to be played. As you can see from the pictures the bass is in near pristine condition other than a very small shallow ding in the wood on the back of the neck at the 16th fret measuring approximately 5mm by 2.5mm. The blemish was present when I made the purchase, to compensate I will throw in two new sets of Trace Elliot 5 string medium gauge strings, a couple of leather straps one black suede one chestnut brown leather, the original Status Graphite gig bag again in as-new condition and unused and finally a guitar stand to properly prop your bass on!. This minor blemish goes un-seen and un-noticed unless you regularly play at the high end of the neck, even then it is barely noticeable and does not deter playing in anyway. The small ding was present when I purchased the bass, as a result I negotiated some free Trace Elliot round wound bass strings which I will be happy to include in the sale, there is a set of Trace Elliot medium gauge on the bass and an additional four packs of 5 string medium gauge strings, the strings are hard to come by now and generally sell for around £ per pack on auction sites. A late '90s Squier P-bass Special. This features a standard split coil Precision Bass neck pickup and an extra Jazz bass bridge pickup. Plays nicely. Nice low action and a straight neck. Ampeg V4BH bass amp, 2x10 bass cab, 1x15 bass cab

The set up consists of an Ampeg V4BH all valve bass amp head, an Ampeg 2x10 Classic cab and an Ampeg 1x15 Classic cab. All of which were made in the USA before Ampeg shipped production to the Far East. The amp head has a full flight case and the cabs have Roqsolid covers. The stitching on the 2x10 is coming undone but it still protects the cab. Both cabs have Ernie Ball removable castors on them. One of the castors on the 2x10 is slightly loose. The sound of this rig is typical Ampeg - big, loud and warm. This has been my main bass rig for around 3 years, but following the use of a friend's Terror bass I have been drawn into the world of Orange bass amps and I think I'm there to stay now (for now!). I have a feeling I'm going to regret selling it but I've recently bought an Orange ADB200, so my faithful Ampeg rig has to go to fund it. Read More
