Experienced home wanted. 16.2h standardbred 13 year old gelding for sale. Not a Common Riding horse or a novice ride. Merlin is a gentleman in the stable and on the ground isn't bargy and loves a good groom. He has such a nice genuine nature. He is good with kids and dogs. He can jump and will jump a wee course if asked just needs to neaten up a bit but Isn't fit to be an eventing horse. He happily rides out in company and on his own with a confident rider to push him on as can be awkward. As he is a ex pacer knowledge of this breed would be better. He lives happily out all year round with access to a shelter. He isn't the best when it comes to traffic but I have been working hard with him and is a lot better than he was. He would benefit from being somewhere not near main roads just general country hacking. Only selling as he has turned out not to be the right horse for me and isn't for what I want to do. He is a big horse with a lot of love to give to the right person. Would make a good endurance riding horse or even just for general hacking. He likes to be working and on the move. He is fine with the farrier and he is upto date with teeth, worming and vaccinations. Will come with all his tack which includes a newly fitted saddle, rugs and everything I have bought him. He is broken to ride and drive, and I bought him off the track a few years ago. Cruise is a sensitive ride who requires a kind rider. He is excellent to hack out ridden or on a cart, brilliant in the heaviest of traffic. Cruise loves to jump, he excels in cross country and gives it his all. Cruise is green in the school, so does require more schooling. Because he doesn’t have much schooling and has raced, he is not a novice ride and is sold as a project horse. Dakota - hh 8 yr old bright bay gelding For sale as a light hack/school - companion due to a previous injury when younger. Due to this injury he needs his feet doing every 5-6 weeks like clockwork. He is barefoot and cannot be shod at all. Has strong feet so would never need shoes. He’s good for farrier, dentist and does load with a little persuasion once on, travels brilliant. Cobra is a lovely STAGBI registered Standardbred, she’s standing at around 16,3hh. We got her from the RSPCA in October with the view of breaking her in the spring. I did some light work with her in January before becoming pregnant. I did little ground work, laid over her and walked around sitting her without any issues. (This was a year ago now though) She has been handled daily and stables at night and has been turned out with a mixed herd She is a very gentle giant with the kindest nature. Due to her unknown past she needs a kind but firm hand. She loves to be brushed and pampered although she can be weary with her feet being picked up, her legs being brushed and her ears being touched. I am selling my horse due to having an operation on my hand and not being able to ride him anymore. He evented over the last two years with a very good, experienced rider at 90 and 100. He was placed on several occasions. He loves being in work and is missing being ridden. Sadly due to my hand he is turned away in a field as I have no-one to ride him now as my friend moved back to Finland. Once in work he is worth much more but I am seeing if there is interest before I send him away to be worked and then sold for more. I want him to go to the right person who will accept his quirks and love the good times. He will hack happily and enjoys eventing, show jumping etc. Jabs, teeth and back all up to date.
