Sound City Regent 50 all valve head, guessing circa . full working order and sounds great, but does need a service, as it is a bit noisy. 2xEL34 power valves, valve-rectified (gz34), 3x preamp valves. Big transformers which may be made by Partridge. I don't think this head has ever been opened up, and I haven't looked, but I'm pretty sure that this will be hand wired, and no printed circuit boards. The valves look period too; Brimar Made in England. It's a nice size and weight too, smallish and portable. Sound City 50 Plus Mark 4 Vintage Valve Guitar Amplifier

Vintage Sound City 50 Plus Mark 4 Valve Guitar Amplifier £ (Will consider reasonable offers) In excellent condition, especially for it's age. Works perfectly and sounds tremendous. Massive headroom and rather...erm... LOUD!!! It was serviced a few years ago by a reputable, experienced amp engineer. Apart from one replacement ECCAX7, I believe all the valves are originals. It has Normal and Brilliant channels with two inputs for each, which means you can bridge the channel inputs (upper of one to lower of the other) with a patch lead and use the volumes to mix the sound of both channels like extra tone controls, just as you can with a 4-input Marshall/Vox etc. A lovely, versatile amp with really warm vintage valve tones. Marshall JMP 50 Plexi vintage valve amp head, dated by Marshall to or early

Marshall JMP 50 Plexi vintage valve amp head, dated by Marshall to or early RECENTLY SERVICED and in full working order. I have owned and used this amp for almost 40 years and I am selling reluctantly now only because I have retired from gigging. The amp has been regularly serviced during a long and active working life. It has therefore undergone some parts replacements, but it retains many original components. I’ve included photos showing the internal electrics and the exterior condition of the case. More pix can be emailed on request. Before offering the amp for sale I’ve had it fully serviced, tested and upgraded to meet modern electrical safety standards. The work was carried out by Chris Taylor at Vintage Amp Services and included a complete re-valve with new Tube Amp Doctor valves, new fuse holders, new safety-compliant standby and on/off switches and a modern I.E.C. mains socket fitted. The mains voltage is hardwired to 240V and the speaker impedance selector to 8ohms. This was for my convenience when the original movable selector inserts were lost. A current equivalent Marshall reissue X head would cost you around £ new. This amp is not a mass-produced reissue, it’s a piece of hand-wired rock ’n roll history from the ’s. HH Valve Sound Foot Switch This was part of my dads music gear collected items that I've finally got 'round to listing. It is designed to use with the classic HH VS (Valve Sound) Musicians 2x12" guitar combo, that was an industry standard bit of kit in the 70's/80's. Although the combo was sold (or more probably traded for something else along the way), the dedicated foot switch remained. As you can see, it uses a specific DIN type plug to connect to the amplifier and for this reason, I can't test it as no amp is available. However, I have no reason to believe it doesn't work perfectly fine. I also think that either the foot switch itself or a section on the amp's facia lights up when the switch is activated??
