Vintage Sound City 50 Plus Mark 4 Valve Guitar Amplifier £ (Will consider reasonable offers) In excellent condition, especially for it's age. Works perfectly and sounds tremendous. Massive headroom and rather...erm... LOUD!!! It was serviced a few years ago by a reputable, experienced amp engineer. Apart from one replacement ECCAX7, I believe all the valves are originals. It has Normal and Brilliant channels with two inputs for each, which means you can bridge the channel inputs (upper of one to lower of the other) with a patch lead and use the volumes to mix the sound of both channels like extra tone controls, just as you can with a 4-input Marshall/Vox etc. A lovely, versatile amp with really warm vintage valve tones. Fender USA Machete 50W All Valve Head

A fantastic 50W all valve USA Fender head. The Machete range was a bit of a departure from Fender's usual offerings being a high-performance, high-end amp packed full of features which was aimed at the likes of Mesa. Retailing at around £ when released they are monster amps that are incredibly flexible. Channel one has a beautiful clean tone but, with its own gain control, can give some really great 'just breaking up' pushed tones and with the (footswitchable) gain boost engaged there's a really great Marshall-esque crunch. Channel two is capable of much higher levels of gain than you'd expect from a Fender! There's lots of smooth distortion with lots of harmonics available and with an active EQ section the tone controls are really effective. Lots of other features including footswitchable digital reverb, footswitchable series effects loop, MIDI controllable and XLR line out with speaker emulation if it is going to the PA. So I bought this brand new on a bit of a whim but to be honest has only had 4 or 5 hours use, has never left the house so is immaculate.
