For my best knowledge, the wood is solid oak (picture 8). Most value of the table is it has a beautiful carved leg (picture 3, 7) and the amazing octagon shape. You can image how many hours to carve this leg. The only small defect of the table is the table top has a little wear (picture 4, 5) but it complete doesn't affect any thing. In fact, when you stand beside the table, you nearly cannot feel the wear exists. In generally, the table top is in very good condition (picture 6, 9).
