Four-seater wooden dining room table, with wooden chairs. This is a cream-coloured table, with original wooden top, with four cream-coloured chairs to match. Included with the set are four green-gingham chair covers. The table is approximately two years old, and has been in active use since then. There are minor scratches to the surface of the table consistent with everyday use, however no children have used the table and hence there's only minor superficial scratches. Note the "scratchwork" to the chair legs are consistent with the shabby chic design. This is also reflected on the wooden half of the table (in white). The table top is easy clean. Beautiful Solid Oak Refurbished Kitchen Dining Table and Four Chairs. The table top has been sanded to remove all the old stain varnish and reveal the glorious patanation of the sold oak wood grain. I have then sealed with three coats of a diamond hard clear matt varnish, so spillages just wipe away. The table base is a refectory oak base that is extremely solid and sturdy. This has been hand-painted in the specialist furniture chalk paint Annie Sloan in a lovely shade of light grey and sealed again with clear matt varnish. There are four ercol style chairs with this table with wonderful farmhouse turned legs and spindle backs these have been painted and sealed to match. The whole set has been very slightly distressed in keeping with the charm and character of shabby "N" chic. Table measurements are 54 inch length and 63 inch width. Solid pine dining table, approx. 145cm x 85cm (around 57" x 33.5"). Top of table was sanded and legs painted in Annie Sloan 'old ochre' chalk paint, which is a beautiful pale cream/beige colour. Table top could do with another sand down now as there are a few marks. Table legs can be removed for easier transportation. Four solid pine chairs, with varnished pine seats and painted white backs and legs. Paint is chipped in places. This was a shabby chic project that I never had time to finish off. This is a very chunky solid pine table that is just over 1.5 inches thick, it also sits upon a bulbous twin pedestal base. The table top has been sanded through different stages to remove all the old stained varnish which now shows off its beautiful patination within the pine wood grain. This has then been sealed with three coats of a clear satin diamond hard varnish. This finish makes the table easy to maintain and spillages just wipe away.Underneath the table top has also had a mini makeover (sanding) so it is nice and clean for its new owner. The table base after all preparation has been hand-painted in the specialist furniture chalk paint Annie Sloan in my favourite shade of Paris Grey, slightly distressed in keeping with the true ethos of the shabby chic style and again sealed with clear satin varnish. Approx Table measurements Length = 72 inches (6 foot) Width = 39 inches Table top is just over 1.5 inch thick The table does detach from the pedestal base to make transporting easier, but it is a very large chunky set so you will need a van to collect and two people to lift. Chairs There are four chairs to this set, that are the Victorian style balloon back, these are in fabulous condition, heavy strong chairs with larger than normal seating area,with good padding to make dining more comfortable.The chairs also have beautiful detailing to them,and wonderful carved turned farmhouse style legs. These have been painted and sealed to match the table base. The old fabric has all been removed and I have upholstered them in a quality really pretty fresh and vibrant leaf fabric which is bang on trend and colour ways will blend with most decors. Underneath the seats have also had new base cloth applied as I feel this gives an all round better quality finish. On the balloon back I have trimmed the fabric with a gimp braid trim,and then to be a bit different I added silver studding, I personally now think these chairs look fabulous and very unique, a showroom statement set. This is a fabulous quality made dining set that will grace any home and look stunning, it is large enough to seat more diners should you wish so great for those larger family gatherings.
