The table has undergone full refurbishment, it has been stripped back to bare wood throughout. The table base and chairs have been painted with two coats of under coat, and two coats of a Farrow and Ball colour AMMONITE The paint is oil based which is hard wearing to knocks and bumps. The top simply pulls apart revealing the two additional leaves which then simply slot into place. And when not in use, they sit beneath the table top. Whilst the top has been treated with several coats of satin varnish. The chairs have been fully refurbished and re-upholstered with new foam and new high quality fabric. Four-seater wooden dining room table, with wooden chairs. This is a cream-coloured table, with original wooden top, with four cream-coloured chairs to match. Included with the set are four green-gingham chair covers. The table is approximately two years old, and has been in active use since then. There are minor scratches to the surface of the table consistent with everyday use, however no children have used the table and hence there's only minor superficial scratches. Note the "scratchwork" to the chair legs are consistent with the shabby chic design. This is also reflected on the wooden half of the table (in white). The table top is easy clean. This extending dining table and 4 beautifully carved chairs have been painted in Annie Sloan's old white chalk paint. The finish has been slightly distressed to give it the popular shabby chic look and then protected with clear wax. The table top sits on a single solid carved base with metal claw feet. When the top is closed its round and quite small so perfect for smaller spaces but can be extended to seat 6 on special occasions. The 4 chairs have been upholstered in a black and white Aquitaine floral print and finished with a black trim. As with any re furbished piece it has picked up the odd knock along the way but this only lends itself to a more authentic shabby chic feel. The table and chairs are good and sturdy with many more years of use. I am offering this on a collection basis only but i am able to get a quote from a courier.
