Selmer Super Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone ORI SILVER

This is an GLORIOUS Selmer Super Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone. In my opinion, the Super Balanced Action is the best tenor Selmer ever made. To me, they just sound sweeter than the Mark VIs, but they still have the keywork that made Selmer famous. This one is a beautiful instrument. Original silver is 90% present with minor wear on the keys and front of the bell. There are no signs of damage. The pads are very tight. Horn feels great and plays GREAT as is. How many more SBA tenors in original silver are out there? This could be the last one you ever see!

  Selmer Super Action 80 Series II Tenor

This Sax is Ser No.) I have owned this fabulous sax for the last 10 years and am selling it with some reluctance. It has had only moderate use in that time as I am not a professional player. The original owner was professional and as a result the sax has some wear to the lacquer where it rests on the stand and on the upper side keys as shown in the pictures. There are also a few light scratches and tiny dinks as you might expect but nothing of any consequence and hardly noticeable. Do not be put off by a bit of cosmetic wear though. This is an outstanding instrument to play with that big beautiful Selmer tone. Blows top to bottom and more importantly back again with ease. The pads are all in very good condition and the action is smooth. The case is new. In August the instrument was professionally serviced and regulated (receipt available for inspection) since which time I have hardly played it as I have splashed out on a vintage Conn. I am offering this as collection only as firstly I assume that any buyer would want to play it first (and so they should!) and secondly the cost to insure it for transport would be very expensive. If anyone wants to arrange their own collection though I would be glad to pack it with the care it deserves. Payment is cash on collection.
