This is a superb example of the SBA Alto. Previously owned from new by a professional based in London (now deceased)- this horn has been totally refurbished by Howarths of London. It is in perfect working order and has no dents or scratches. Truely original condition with no repairs. The lacquer that was left was removed during refurbishment. Selmer Super Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone ORI SILVER

This is an GLORIOUS Selmer Super Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone. In my opinion, the Super Balanced Action is the best tenor Selmer ever made. To me, they just sound sweeter than the Mark VIs, but they still have the keywork that made Selmer famous. This one is a beautiful instrument. Original silver is 90% present with minor wear on the keys and front of the bell. There are no signs of damage. The pads are very tight. Horn feels great and plays GREAT as is. How many more SBA tenors in original silver are out there? This could be the last one you ever see!

Some even say this is the best period of Selmer.However, there are not many of them since they were made from till , that's only 5 years and most of them were altos and tenors... This horn is all original: original silver plating and in it's original dark brown crocskin print leather case..... Being in a wonderfull condition -as the pics will show- excellent quality, almost all the plating is there, about 99%, at the top where you put the mouthpiece is some brass visible, but after re-corking you won't see anything of that. No scratches or dings of any importance. The mother of pearls have no traces of use, the mechanic is like new, appearently hardly been used. This is a very rare, beautiful and a highly collectible item
