He is fantastic to hack out alone or in company first last or in the middle in the heaviest of traffic. He is hacked out every weekend by my 8yr old daughter on the roads and over our local common. He is a 14HH,14yr old gelding with a kind,gentle temperament and has been with us since he was six so a permanent loving home is extremely important to us as we would like to keep in touch. He would hack on his own as I used to all the time until we moved but have'nt done for probably the past 2 years due to having a youngster which needed company for hacking out. Gladiator is a clever and attractive pony who could do any job. He has been in work for approx. 18 months, in which time he has proved himself to be safe, bold, quick to learn and useful. He loves to jump and is a safe hack, and has been ridden by all members of the family from 6 years old up to adults. He would be a quiet lead-rein pony for an older child, but is talented enough to be so much more. He has been to pony club camp and shown himself to have excellent flatwork and jumping. He has played polo, swum in the river with a rider on board, and is bold at everything he has been asked to do. He has hunted both with a child on and off the lead rein, and with a light adult. He has even carried a sidesaddle with both adult and child riders, and was totally unbothered. Although he is overheight to show as a section C, he would make a lovely working hunter pony (up to 14hh). his flatwork is good enough for pure dressage, and he never refuses a jump, safely carrying an adult rider over some huge ditches when hunting.
