Pony Cob 14'1 gelding ex riding school schoolmaster

Meet Treacle. We have been the proud owners of Treacle for 12 years, and he is now 23 years old. He has seen the children grow up, and has taught them all to ride. He came from a local riding school and was always the favourite pony that every child asked for. He has a fan club wherever he goes. FOr the past 2 years he has been a field ornament, and the time has come to move him on to another loving family where he can do all the things he did with us, and probably more. This is reflected in the price as he would need to be brought back into work. He has literally never been ill or sick in all the time we have had him. He is good with other horses and ponies, and nothing phases him (apart from chickens so I have discovered). He does prefer to ride out with other horses, although did used to ride alone with my son who was a confident rider. He is kept in Bookham, lives out (which he prefers) and is a very good doer. Beautiful second competition pony who is sadly desperately outgrown and now looking for a new little person to form a loving and successful partnership with. He has the sweetest nature, is very affectionate and will happily trot across the field to greet you. Very easy to do, good to catch, clip, shoe, box. No trouble to have around, lives out but has been in at night over the wettest part of the winter. Will happily jump a course of cm and has jumped over 1.05m at home with us. Really enjoys his jumping and would suit someone who can offer a competitive home and wants to progress and win lots of rosettes! He is forward going, hence a second pony but not strong. He will look after his jockey and has been used with very young or novice riders. We have had him for 2 years now and he has taken part in 2 summer PC camps, pony club rallies and competitions, local shows, fun rides and competed in Team Quest last year.
