The Xodus has always been a top-end off-road shoe with bags of grip, thanks to the Vibram outsole and protection from the elements. The all new Xodus 6 features a new sleeker upper with pliable hot-melted overlays helping to reduce weight and provide greater flexibility. The Xodus maintains the great fit it’s renound for by using the Pro-Lock lacing system to secure the foot even more firmly into the shoe. Not only does the new Xodus 6 provide great protection with Vibram but aslo with the full length PowerGrid providing a great heel to toe responsive feel. Protection is paramount. The outsole needs to offer grip for undulating terrain, offer great traction and have a device to prevent debris from protruding up into the shoe/foot. The Xodus certainly does with Saucony’s collaboration with outdoor manufacturer Vibram. The Vibram XS- Trek resists abrasion and enhances traction. The deep multi-directional lugs provide superior grip on a variety of off road surfaces along with it being lighter weight and flexible ensures for a great run time after time. Also in the outsole is the EBO (External Bedrock Outsole) rock plate, this provides the extra protection for the feet from sharp stones, tree roots and other objects underfoot. This is coupled with the bootie construction on the upper to keep debris out of the shoe itself, it works in unison with the Pro-Lock to hold the foot securely but it also provides another layer of protection. The Xodus utilises Saucony’s minimalist 4mm heel-to-toe drop which gives greater stability and control even over rough terrain. Orders under £35 will be shipped using standard Royal Mail 48 postage, where as orders over £35 will normally be sent using Royal Mail 48 Tracked.
