Sarough Mir β 362 x 248 cm β "Extra large β Oriental
This is a hand-knotted, Mir rug, made of durable, natural materials. Imperfections in the patterns and shape make this carpet unique and emphasise its authentic and artisanal character. Mir carpets are knotted in the mountainous area in and around Arak, in western Iran.Characteristic for a Mir is the contemporary design called Boteh or Paisley pattern: a droplet shape with the tip pointing in one direction. A Mir often has a continuous pattern, but some have a medallion and corner patterns. Mir carpets are durable rugs made of wool on a cotton warp, they're often thick, full carpets with remarkably high durability.Later on, Mir carpets were also made in India, in which case they're called oriental rugs. This is a used rug, these often become more beautiful and richer in character as a result of the natural ageing process.Size:Approx. 362 x 248 cmMain colour:Cream.Accent colours:Brick, taupe, golden yellow, pink and blue shades.Specifications: Clean carpet, a lot of nap, rich glossPlease see the photos to form your own impression. This lot will be shipped registered with track & trace.X393 Read More
