Wanted - safe older pony for grandchildren

Wanted - an older pony (over 12 years would be fine) approx 9hh - 11hh - preferably a gelding but would consider an easy going mare. Colouring and looks are unimportant - it's all about the temperament. Barefoot and able to live out (we have a field shelter) and own the paddock and field attached to our home. Forever home offered to the right pony. The pony would need to be easily handled by young children (aged 3-8) they want to be able to groom it including washing and picking hooves - ride it very occasionally (approx once a fortnight when they come to stay) on our local quiet bridle paths - they would be on a lead rein but on our paddock the 8 year old (who is extremely slight - under 3 stone - and small for her age) would like to be able to just walk and trot freely. the pony would need to be able to carry up to 5 stone for hacking so that the girls could continue to ride as they grow.We already have a 12hh section b gelding who is a little sharp so they can't ride him off the lead rein or groom him without very close supervision - he's a little spooky but although he wasn't as advertised he has a life long home with us - I just want to be absolutely sure that the next little one is not spooky ! We also do a lot of groundwork and agility which the children would like to be able to do with a smaller calmer pony. So the home that we are offering would involve occasional riding - lots of grooming as I love it ! Groundwork / agility and going for walks along the lanes and bridle paths with or without the grandchildren. The pony needs to be passported - vaccinated - up to date with feet and teeth and no laminitis / sweet itch etc We aren't in a rush for our next pony so wil happily just wait as long as it takes to find him / her:-) The photo is of our 12hh boy Read More

Safe and honest 13.2hh-14hh pony wanted

Looking for a 13.2hh -14.hh safe pony to LWVTB or buy. Will be going to an experienced home where a young novice will be riding it, we currently own a 15.1hh cob x and 13.2hh cob however neither of our two horses are suitable for her as they are too sharp.
